YMCA of Steuben County — Attraction in Angola

I use to love this place for the therapy pool, driving there regularly from Michigan to swim was worth it and consistently brought new people. They convinced me to buy a membership, as soon as I did, now the pool is NEVER OPEN as their schedule shows and I've LITERALLY only gotten to swim 1x so I've wasted more money between the worthless membership and gas driving there just to find that I CAN'T SWIM. Then I call to talk to them about how upset I am and the disrespectful unprofessional person answering the phone cuts me off while I'm talking, laughs at my frustration, then basically says "Deal it, its the way things are here. If you want to swim you could Call First, you want to save your gas you could Call First, and if you don't like that you can go ahead cancel your membership!"

Seriously where the ** did customers go people??? I asked about the schedule posted online but apparently that's a joke because all she could do was laugh at me again. I started out loving this...

Why do we pay for a membership to a ymca just to not be able to use the "hot tub" on a regular basis instead we have to have so many lessons that the theropy pool is only available for an hour in the afternoon during the week... and it's from 4 to 5 that's so convenient for working people... but apparently the swim lessons are more important than memberships... I already think the membership is over priced for what we get I mean come on the same price for membership in fortwayne and they have a hot tub actually available to use for adults... and an arcade and a rock wall with an amazing gym I get it's a smaller ymca but they can't even make thier members feel valued everything else is more important we are just the sugar dad for ymca to stay open but we can't be considered when it comes to changes and schedules... also the schedules are so unclear of what is actually open and when.... and then don't get me started on not having staffing to...

Severely mis-managed. The pool, therapy pool and sauna are never open. The schedule online does not reflect what may be happening that day (so remember to call everytime you want to go workout). My family and I have been very frustrated with the Angola YMCA (FYI Auburn YMCA, Fort Wayne, Jackson, Lansing, traverse City all do NOT have the same staffing issues). It's sad that the pool is never open so the sauna cannot be enjoyed. this is not the case at any other Y. I think one of them said "its a safety issue to not have a life guard on duty for the sauna" i just picture life guards in the locker rooms at all the other YMCA's..they make zero sense - we are sad we live next to the worst YMCA in the...
