Canoyer Garden Center - Ankeny — Attraction in Ankeny

Absolutely horrible customer service. We bought a few pots from here about 6 months back but the entire bottom crumbled. I called to see if they would return the pots and they said they had multiple problems with the manufacturers pots and that they would return but asked if I’d be willing to come in on a weekday rather than weekend. Out of respect, I did. Just took them to the shop to exchange them for other pots but the manager was extremely rude. Told me “we will never get money back from our manufacturer for these. We’re gonna lose money now because you.” She returned them and we received $90 for the pots as we bought them when all pots were buy 1 get 1 free. I asked if they’d be willing to honor the sale we got the previous pots at as this wasn’t not our fault they crumbled.:)3 said “absolutely not. No.” I then asked her if she’d be willing to match the Papillion, Nebraska locations store which had 20% off all pots as I was just there the other day. She responded “we don’t price match. I said no.” She returned the $90 back to an in store credit. Never apologized for the inconvenience, was not empathetic, but rather was only rude. I’ve been a customer of Canoyer since try opened their original store in Papillion, Nebraska—spending upwards of $700 a year. This is the first time I’ve ever encountered someone so rude working at their stores, generally they’re friendly and extremely passionate about their jobs....

It's an amazing selection of everything. Perennials, annuals, shrubbery, and water features. They also have all of the potting needs and soils. Even in the winter, this is well worth a visit. There is a huge variety of houseplants, including some neat ones I've never seen. They also had a big selection of poinsettia, Christmas cactus, Amaryllis, and other festive plants.

In addition to plants, they have a lot of gift items, including decor, food mixes, and much more.
