North campus diag houses this incredible Lurie Bell Tower which is surrounded by all Engineering Departments, the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library, Pierpont Commons as well as the Stamps Auditorium. It's so peaceful out there with so less crowded during Spring & Summers that one can sit for hours and it would feel like you're on a vacation. The Lurie Bell Tower is one fabulous historical landmark. It's lovely when the bells ring, although there's no scheduled time when the bells are...

Only 500 carillons exist in the world, and the University of michigan harbors two of them one in Burton Memorial Tower on Central Campus and another is this one- Ann and Robert H. Lurie Tower on North Campus. University also offers masters course in carillons and everybody loves to hear melodies ( including popular harry potter and game of thrones theme songs) played here sometimes during...
