I have been a consistent customer at this particular Panda Express, and I have not felt this disregarded as a customer as I have after the events of today. This concerns the dark haired, middle-aged woman who has been working at this Panda Express for at least the past 2 years. She has consistently had a terrible attitude with me, and certain customers, despite my continued politeness ("please", "thank you", smiling throughout). Today, I ordered some food and as I went to order, she asked me "Would you like to add a drink?". I said "No, just a cup for water, please." She proceeds to grab a sauce cup and tells me that that was all they had for water cups. Keep in mind these sauce cups are the equivalent of literally taking a shot of water, so obviously I was confused as they had always had clear legitimate cups for water. So, I gave her a confused look and asked "That's it?" and she says to me "Yes, these are what we have for WaTeR," in a very rude and condescending tone. Well, I politely declined and paid for my food. I finally asked if "the sauce cups would be consistently a thing from now on?" and she responded "yes". I went to my seat to eat with my friend. About 5 minutes had passed and there was a male customer at the register about to pay for his meal. She asks him the same question: "Would you like to add a drink?" He responds with "Just a cup for water." Instead of offering the sauce cups like she had previously done for me just a few minutes prior, she hands him a small red soft drink cup and smiles and says "Here, you can use this".
To deny a customer something but then to make an exception for another for no true accommodating reason just minutes later is disappointing, to say the least. I understand this worker has been working here for a while, however, I don't believe this behavior is representative of the values of Panda Express and should face repercussions for giving special treatment to some customers with no basis. I would not have written this had she given him the same options as she had given me, but this was not the case. This review will be retracted if I see a change, but this a build up of over a year of bad experiences with this...
Read moreFood was good. There are no more samples due to the pandemic. Their greens at this location did not have enough cabbage. Portions were nice and fulfilling! The food server behind the counter is awesome and has a ton of patience. The lady ringing us up was okay, didn't smile although her voice seemed nice. I like the skeleton table they have for Halloween! You can take a photo with the...
Read moreI love there food. This location is in the University of Michigan Pierpont Commons. To park you will either need to pay or have a Blue parking permit. The closest parking lot is behind the Walgreen Drama Center, which I've seen full quite often around lunch.
Someone stated that they didn't get their free entree. I haven't had any problem redeeming the free entree offered when...
