Natural Springs Park — Attraction in Anna

Nice little park to bring the pooch or to just have a nice leisurely walk. Place is always clean, the pond does have some fish in there so if you have your fishing license you can get some super light fishing in. They have a gated dog park area divided for small dogs and larger dogs. They provide doggy bags almost at every corner so the pet owners can pick up after their dogs if need be. I love going to this park with family and exploring the trails and seeing the wildlife. You often see turtles at the ponds, and a friendly tarantula likes to roam the sidewalk on the east side of the park 100 yards south of the City Maintenance building.

Do be aware that is wild woods in rural North Texas, so there can be snakes in the underbrush. Watch your step and enjoy nature! Pretty walk before. But the construction next door has left the water looking pretty gross. It’s loud and the machines and the huge mountain of dirt freaked all the dogs out. I’m not a big complainer but I would hate to direct anyone here for a leisurely walk at this point. I’m sure they will clean it all up soon.
