Kelly Road Park — Attraction in Apex

Kelly Road Park is a great play place for kids young and old. Cool fort like structures cover the playground and they are easy for both young and older climbers to navigate. There are two nice picnic pavilions and a basketball court. There is also a paved path around the enclosed playground which is great for smaller children on bikes and scooters. Lots of parking, easily accessible restrooms and it has a great stretch of Greenway as well! Only downside is the playground has direct sun most of the day...

Great park for kids of all ages. There is a small toddler area, sandbox, climbing activities, rope bridge, slides, swings, merry go round. So much for little kids to do. It does get busy, but plenty for little ones! The park/playground area has many entances/exits so just keep an eye out on your littles. A couple decided to use the baseball field for their MASSIVE pitbull type dog to roam off leash. The guy was struggling to walk it since it was super anxious and choking itself from excitement.

Why does someone need to bring a dangerous animal there. It’s right next to the children’s playground. People could have been practicing in the baseball fields and basically be trapped with that dog.
