WOW! What an absolutely engaging little restaurant with the most friendly and sociable staff. This was a first African Cuisine experience for me and I was totally in awe at the amount of options and variety on display. They are providing cuisine from more then 40 countries and so knowledgeable about the slight variations of similar dishes across the continent. Very willing to talk, explain, and recommend dishes according to preference. If you have an adventurous culinary spirit, this should be a "Go To" for expanding your horizons. First, start with dessert. Mburu Fass is a fried croissant with vanilla ice cream and a little cooked plantain all covered in a caramel drizzle, dusted with powdered sugar. Such a delicious combination of the crispy croissant and the slightly firm plantain. This kicks off the meal spectacularly. I am a sucker for a sampler. The Sampler Africa provides the experience of Egusi (stewed cassava leaves with goat), Yassa Ganar (jerked chicken and vegetables in a citrus onion sauce), and Injera V (injera bread with curried vegetables). The difference in the three flavors was drastic, so there was a superb realization of variety. The goat was tender and had no gamy flavor, while the chicken had a good saturation of the jerk seasoning. There did seem to be a hint of the curry throughout, though it was noticeably accentuated in the Injera V. The bread was also quite unique with a slight vinegar tang that was delicious with the curry. We also had the Tiguadegeh, which is very similar to a "wet" chicken stir fry. Again, very different flavor profile and also purposefully chosen as it was different from everything on the sampler. The Darkasse is really sweet and cuts the heat, while the Moringa Mint is very refreshing and crisp. Phenomenal experience and will have to come back to try many more dishes.

Yagg Sii Tenn Authentic African Cuisine is a culinary treasure that offers a vibrant journey through the heart of African flavors. From the moment you step in, the welcoming ambiance, adorned with vibrant décor and soulful African rhythms, sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu is a tribute to the rich and diverse culinary traditions of Africa, featuring dishes like Senegalese *Thieboudienne* (jollof rice with fish), smoky Nigerian *Suya Skewers*, and the creamy Gambian *Domoda* (peanut stew). Each dish bursts with bold, authentic spices, lovingly prepared to transport you straight to the bustling streets and serene villages of the continent. The service at Yagg Sii Tenn is equally exceptional, with passionate staff eager to share the stories and traditions behind each dish. Portions are hearty, presentation is artful, and every bite is a celebration of Africa’s rich heritage. Their *Baobab Ice Cream* is a standout dessert that adds a sweet and tangy finale to an already stellar meal. Whether you’re a connoisseur of African cuisine or a curious first-timer, Yagg Sii Tenn offers an extraordinary experience that leaves a lasting impression. This is more than a meal—it’s a celebration of culture and flavor that you’ll want to return to again and again.

We had our girls’ dinner at Yagg Sii Tenn yesterday and it was absolutely AMAZING! The food is authentic, flavorful, and truly delicious. We each ordered something different, plus appetizers and desserts, and shared everything. Not a single bite disappointed. If you love hot and spicy, the wings appetizer is a must-try, and the Tajine dish was incredible. Don’t forget the fried ice cream croissant for dessert. The portions are very generous, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. Having traveled to Africa many times, I can say this restaurant captures that same spirit of hospitality, where feeding people well is a priority. I left both stuffed and completely satisfied. I also loved that they display photos of the dishes around the restaurant so you know exactly what you’re ordering. Papa and Yagg are such wonderful hosts. Their hard work, warmth, and generosity truly shine through. We all drove over an hour to get here, and it was 100% worth it. This is a 10/10 dining experience, and I’ll be telling everyone about this gem. I’m already looking forward to coming back in a few weeks. Thank you, Papa and Yagg, for such an incredible food journey through Africa!

We haven’t been to the restaurant, we were lucky enough to be vendors at an event where Yagg Sii Tenn was one of the food trucks. WOW!! After our first order there Saturday late afternoon, we got lunch and dinner from them on Sunday because the food was FABULOUS!

Everything was super flavorful and delicious and the corn fufu was amazing - so tender and really tasting of corn. Over two days we had the lamb shank (mishti) and the chicken with ginger (yassa ganar) each twice and the vegetable curry once, as well as the plantains and the African fries. Everything was great!

We ordered the food spicy and were not disappointed. It was hot, but for people who usually order ‘Indian hot’ at Indian restaurants it was not uncomfortable at all. And I loved it even though scotch-bonnet-type peppers are probably my least favorite.

I loved the juices too, though if you’re expecting plain Jane juice your mouth will be surprised! We tried the hibiscus and the turmeric and both are flavor explosions!

My only regret is that we have to drive back to Maryland and won’t be able to visit the restaurant on the way. Absolutely stellar food and the people running the truck (front and kitchen) were awesome as well. 100% recommend them and if I lived anywhere near Apex this would be a monthly (if not...

So let me start off by saying I was really hoping that this place would be great… And it was better than that. It was amazing!

We arrive on 3/2/25 at about 6:30pm. We were worried that we had come too close to closing ( which was 7pm), but we were welcomed and sat.

The restaurant is extremely clean. They have a 99.0 Sanitation Score. Everyone was wearing gloves. And they changed their gloves appropriately. The tables and menus were wiped down and clean.

The atmosphere is bright, colorful and uplifting.

There have a great variety of dishes you can order, including vegan options.

The young lady at the register was helpful and pleasant. She took the time to explain the menu and helped us pick our meals.

I ordered cow foot soup with a side of fufu, and West African fish and chip.

My daughter ordered egusi soup with fufu and curry chicken.

Our food came out fresh, hot and in a timely manner.

The co-owner was amazing. She made us feel welcomed as she walked around the dinning area to make sure everyone was satisfied.

The Chef/ Owner was amazing. He made sure we were treated as valued guest. He was welcoming, pleasant and inviting.

Our food was absolutely delicious!! It was a nice proportion of food, and freshly made.

This is our new favorite spot!! You will not be...
