No inner tubes of any type allowed! Went to the aquatic center today. 48” and taller is 9 dollars, 48” and under is 8. Summer swim pass is better if you plan on going frequently. 50 for 48” and under and 60 for 48” and over. Can be used at ALL Arlington aquatics center. There is a list on their website. For the water park…there were two areas. One for small children that’s has a park style water park with two slides along with a mini frog slide for VERY small children and another area for older kids. The one for older kids connects to the lazy river. The small children area is great for small children. My 1.5 year old went and was able to walk around freely, but parents must still stay vigilant because there are other children and the water is still enough for a child to fall and drown. The small children area also has colder water for some reason. There was a significant temperature difference between the two areas. So much that we stayed in the older children area. My 5 year old preferred the warmer water over the water slides and water fountains. They have shower stalls in the bathroom and both the bathroom and shower stalls were clean. Wet, but clean. Lifeguards didn’t take a break and swapped out routinely with other lifeguards to take a break from the heat. There were plenty of chairs, we used only one to set the whole family’s things down on. Nothing went missing, so that’s a plus. Only downfall is you CAN NOT bring any kind of inner tube in to float around the lazy river. We brought it into the park but we were only able to make one circle around the river before being told by the lifeguard that it was not allowed. No matter how small! So I carried my 1.5 year old the whole time. You can however have your toddler wear a floatie or life jacket. I have attached photos. Overall, the 5 year old had fun and so did the whole family, just wish inner tubes were allowed for younger children. It would have been perfect! Would definitely return, but would also seek out other water parks that allow inner tubes for...
Read moreI've been coming here since I was a lil nino and lived in the apartments adjacent to it(and caused all kinds of mischief, like trying to dig a massive hole for reasons I can't recall). In many ways it has gotten better and better over the years, the playground improved, it has a skatepark(which I don't neccesarily applaud since it shouldn't have taken a kid getting hit by a car to build it),, the lake, the ballparks, the kinda hiking trail, and the mini waterpark tucked into the back that would be amazing if it weren't only for kids. It encapsulates Arlington perfectly in that it tries to do everything but doesn't quite have a grasp on how to do it. If that skatepark had a bowl in it, that'd be excellent. If the waterpark had an adult sizes pool that too would be excellent. If they did like many lakes do and dropped a truckload of fish worth fishing for in the lake, that would be excellent... But it's Arlington: the city of half baked dreams. The waterpark is basically a local secret since it has zero advertising, which is a shame because it is pretty nice for people with kids. Pros: -Has tons of different stuff, though much of it caters to one part of the family or another instead of all at once. -the playground is excellent -safe, because I see cops in there all the time. -closes late and opens early. -has barbeque pits, pavilions for parties, and a doggy water fountain.
Cons: -Skatepark is unimpressive, though kids still use it quite a lot. -they did away with the building that had a bathroom for seemingly no reason, leaving us with the fancy ole portapotty thrown here and there. -waterpark has no adult pool, so if you bring your kids get ready to tan I guess. -fishing is a joke. You'll catch little hand sized fish all day though.
Overall it's a good safe park, especially if you love near it. If you have to drive to it then it's most likely worth the extra mile to River...

Randol Mill Park is truly a gem in our community! It offers a perfect blend of recreation, relaxation, and family-friendly activities that keep us coming back week after week.
One of the best features of this park is its beautiful walking trails, which provide a refreshing and peaceful environment for a stroll. Whether you're walking alone, with family, or pushing a stroller, the scenic paths make every step enjoyable.
For families with kids, the playgrounds are fantastic—spacious, clean, and filled with fun equipment that keeps little ones entertained for hours. The football and lawn tennis courts are great for sports lovers, offering well-maintained spaces for friendly matches and practice sessions. My family particularly enjoys playing lawn tennis here!
During summer, the swimming pool is a major highlight. We always purchase our seasonal pass to get unlimited access, and it's one of the best ways to beat the heat while having fun. The pavilion area is another great feature, perfect for barbecues, gatherings, and celebrations with friends and family.
For those who love a bit of outdoor adventure, the park even has a fishing area, adding to the variety of activities available. And with plenty of open space, it's also an ideal spot to walk with kids and enjoy nature.
Overall, Randol Mill Park is an amazing place for outdoor fun, sports, and relaxation. My family loves spending time here, and we can’t wait for summer to enjoy the pool again! Highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a well-rounded...
