Society Beauty Bar - Arlington — Attraction in Arlington

Really surprised at the 5-Star reviews but I guess my experience was an unusual one. First of all, I knew nothing about a “gloss” until this salon so paying to have my hair dyed and then “processing” in the sink was not what I was expecting for something I later learned was a semi-permanent color… I should have been told ahead of time. When it was first done, I had a ton of light streaks and had to tell the woman I was concerned. So she did a second process… I still was seeing differentials in the color after but I’d been there for 2.5 hours and couldn’t stay much longer when I’d come for a single color process and a cut. She was also running late for another client, so her AND an assistant were tag-team blow drying my hair to get me out of there - not a relaxing nor high-end finish/feel as one would expect. It made me anxious. They rushed to finish, and I was out the door - told that I’d already put a card in online in advance so they’d just run that, and realized as I was walking away that one one ever gave me a way to tip because of that. It all felt awkward. So I didn’t love my hair, and it lightened up very quickly because of the gloss- as I discovered later...

I love Society Beauty Bar! Laura’s color work is incredible, so much so that the hairstyling team for the bridal party at my friend’s wedding were taking photos for reference. She always seems to read my mind and provide color that some how gets even better as it grows into a lived in look - it may be witchcraft :)

I recently got a haircut with Angela who is a talented new addition to the team! Angela was so thorough, a great listener, and was able to make my vision of what I wanted for a haircut even better than I could imagine. Strongly recommend both these talented women!

Update 10/13/24: I have continued to go to Society Beauty Bar and they are incredible as always! Marisa Curran recently did my bridal hair along with my bridal party. She was friendly, professional and extremely talented. Even when the weather decided to be a bit windy the day of the wedding, and I changed to an up-do, Marisa worked her magic on my hair and made me feel so beautiful for my special day! Thank you Marisa!

Words can't express how thrilled I am with my experience with Sarah McFarren at Society Beauty Bar!
