I rarely leave a review unless the experience has been really positive or vice versa. In this case, I sat down at the table and mentioned I want to place a “To Go” order. She immediately turned around and asked me to get up from the table while adjusting the napkin with cutlery on the table, hinting not to touch anything at the table. She then proceeded to place the menu back on the menu stacked next to the counter on a table and asked me what I will like to order. I told her I need a menu. She pointed to the stack of menus and asked me to go look at it. Mind you, she took the menu out of my hand when I said I wanted to order a “To Go” order. I went ahead to place an order while she rushed me through it. There were 3 people for Breakfast in the morning so I did not see a reason for the rush. She asked me to get my stuff to the counter before I ordered. I did have a big bag and my backpack on me. She took my order and the order came out quick however the pancakes were burnt. Overall, I thought the lady at the counter was rude and I personally would not go to a place where customer service isn’t prioritized nor is making sure that the food...
Read moreThe tables are REALLY close together. You can literally hear everything that the person next you was saying. It's very cramped. The food was decent enough but if you're not a fan of crowded places, I would definitely not recommend this place. I'm not a fan of crowded restaurants. You can't talk about anything private without the person at the next table hearing you. If you have a chatty neighbor and you want to be quiet you can probably bet they will try to talk to you since you will be that close. It's like that type of thing is encouraged due to the closeness. Our waiter also did not really speak English so when we were ordering our food he didn't really understand what we were saying as far as how we wanted our food. i.e. if u want your homefries well done, that might not happen. He was friendly enough it was just really busy and and he didn't really understand English well enough to get our order the way we wanted it. If you can handle all that, it's probably a very lovely place for...
Read moreI went here with my mother and her partner, and I don't even normally eat breakfast.
I had fairly low expectations when I entered the cafe, and I ordered a meat lovers omelette, bacon, sausage, and extra home fries. For context I'm 6'2 and 250 pounds, so a pretty big guy, so I usually order twice, but at Classic Cafe not only did I only order once I got a meal that I couldn't even finish!
The bacon was cooked to perfection, and was somehow crispy and juicy. The sausage was the best I've ever had in my life, and the home fries were to die for.
But the meat lovers omelette was more than the best omelette I've ever had, it was the best food I've ever tasted period. I literally felt a tear well up in my eye.
And our waiter was fantastic, she was very kind and even remembered my mom's partner (who recommended we go in the first place)
If you ever get the chance you have to go to the Classic Cafe, I have never had better food and...
