The yogurt was decent. Kids obviously love serving themselves. However, the experience was considerably worsened by being asked by the person checking us out if I wanted to leave a tip. I'm all for generously compensating people for actual service. I don't consider scooping a few toppings on my yogurt service. This person is providing counter service only and essentially is a cashier. When the person asking me to leave a tip for counter service is the person receiving the tip, that is very uncomfortable. I think this is universally understood. Whether this is a management policy to subsidize wages or a practice of this cashier, I don't know, but I suggest changing the practice.
