Torched AVL — Attraction in Asheville

A friend and I took at class at Torched AVL and it was great! The studio is conveniently located in west Asheville with parking. There were plenty of classes on their calendar with online scheduling. Meredith greeted us before the class and set us at ease. Nora was our instructor to make twisted hoop earrings. She was knowledgeable and encouraging and went step-by-step, making sure we got all the details correct. The studio was well equipped with a station for each student as well as all the tools and equipment needed. We cut, filed, fired and hammered our way to a lovely set of earrings. Torched is a jewelry studio/gallery and has all kinds of classes - not just jewelry making. Make sure to check out their website to see everything they offer. It's a great place to be creative. If you've already got skills and/or taken their introduction courses you can also use their studio space with a membership.

I took a class and it was fantastic! Meredith was the instructor for my class and we learned how to set a stone in a bezel setting. The class is set up in a way that all levels are welcome and the instructions are thorough and simple. Plus, the instructor is right there the whole time, is a great resource & very knowledgeable! I had a great time and look forward to taking more classes...

I recently took the Lost Wax Casting Class and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! The workshop space is amazing with every tool you could imagine!! It was an awesome opportunity to play with expensive machines I'd never used, and to mingle with other crafts people expanding their jewelry making skillsets.

Nora and Meredith were the best, personable and extremely knowledgeable in their craft. They took the extra time to brainstorm creative techniques to achieve each of our visions, and in the process, introduced us to a ton new tools and techniques.

Love what Torched is doing (classes & co-working space) and I plan to take more...
