Overall, a nice quite spot but not my favorite in Athens. For Pokemon Go players, we didn't see many spawns and one three stops spread out over the whole park. This a great park for runners, but not so great for families with kids. For adults, there are winding, rough trails shaded by trees and a few cute docks to over look the lake. At the entrance is a little park with a soccer field and tennis courts that would be fine for kids but I wouldn't suggest venturing into the woods. The trail only has gravel is some parts. It's very steep and riddled with roots in several sections. Plus it's very close to the water in some parts and I would be afraid of small kids falling in.

I visited with my camera gear ready to shoot wildlife. I was disappointed as it was mostly birds I could hear but couldn't see! Then it started pouring rain I lost my direction a bit, Google Maps kept changing screens because of the rain hitting the screen. Hit a closed off trial and eventually got my bearings and found my way out. It was awesome! Lol Thank goodness for my weather resistant Olympus gear! Went back a couple days later and got a picture of a hawk, not much but something. Trails are great, there were a few people fishing and there's a really nice foot bridge going across the lake!

Wow what a great small trail park, we were not dressed for the ocation since we had just come out of church looking for a nice walk so we stuck close to the water even so you can really relax and enjoy a walk or ride your bike here well explore every inch next time. There are also tennis courts ooen fields baseball and football but nit completely sure if its open to the public since most of the lots REQUIRE A PERMIT! so make sure you dont park in one or you will be fined. It is pet friendly pleanty of dogs running around and enjoying the water. The trail is NOT STROLLER FRIENDLY

We visited this park a week ago. Since this park is close to the city center, it turned out to be difficult to find parking spaces, since they are all reserved in the parking lot right at the entrance to the park, however, if you drive deeper, you can find regular parking spaces. I think we have chosen a very suitable time for a walk in this park, it is not too hot yet but the weather is comfortable at the end of November. There are several routes here and you can walk with your beloved pets, there are a couple of beautiful completely wooden bridges and a route along the pond with benches and cars are not heard. While we were walking we met a gray stork, a couple of squirrels and chipmunks. The park is comparable in size to a botanical garden where you can easily spend from two to five or six hours in...
