Do NOT go here. I went to this establishment for 2 services; a basic pedicure and an acrylic nail removal. The pedicure was fine however the acrylic nail removal was not only horribly executed but extremely painful and damaging to my nail health. I as anyone I assume, expected a traditional acrylic removal consisting of clipping the nails, filing them, and soaking them in acetone. This "technician" proceeded to take toe clippers to my beautiful hands and RIP my nails of. Throughout the process I expressed my pain multiple times, and my voice was ignored. Additionally, the whole process was extremely messy and unprofessional as the individual was standing over one side of my pedicure chair, getting dust everywhere, and when he clipped the nails which went flying across the room and almost landing in my eye which could lead to serious injury such as blindness. The worst part of all was when he ripped half of my pinky nail of, made it bleed, and then proceeded to try to glue a fake nail but failed. He attempted 5 times but it would not stick as evidently there was no nail there. He then left the glue on my exposed, weak nail bead and I had to peel it off. This whole process went against basic common sense. Afterwards, the manager came up to me dismissed my voice by saying, "I already heard the story", looked at my finger and insisted it wasn't that bad, slapped me on the back attempting to console me, and came back with some cream for my finger. She then dared to charge me for the nail removal. Overall, this whole process was awful. I sit here, staring at my mutilated pinky finger and questioning every life choice that led me to this cursed establishment, I can only hope you will take this review into consideration when choosing...
Read moreBeyond disappointed and will never be going back after being told “it was best I leave.” I have gone to Highland Nails a few times and always received a good gel mani/pedi from Tee. I called to make an appointment with her specifically in December, and after arriving waited over an hour past my appointment time. No phone call was made to warn me she was behind schedule, but I chalked it up to the holiday season and wanted to come back again and give the salon another chance.
Today, I showed up for my morning appointment with Tee which was scheduled on the phone and confirmed the day before, only to be told they yet again messed up my appointment. Tee suggested another nail tech, but when I expressed my frustration with TWO appointments now being incorrect she verbatim said “if you don’t trust my recommendation of another tech, then it’s best you leave.” I did just that, and I will never be back.
I have never been treated so disrespectfully by someone in the customer service industry, especially someone I loyally scheduled with and tipped extremely generously each time. If you want your time wasted, this is the salon for you. The bait and switch appointment practice and lack of kindness and respect towards customers is...
Read moreThis is the first time I've walked in a nail salon and not been hit by the unpleasant sent of chemicals. It was just nice, cool, clean. You may need to make an appointment if you're not like me with time to kill. They were low staffed, so I came back late in the day. I decided to just change color on toes $7! The lady actually had a real conversation with me, not talking all the time to other staffers in various languages, which is what I'm used to from other salons... Watched them and they are very hygienic. Thoroughly cleaned tubs and sanitized instruments. I had a great time, this is my salon-not going anywhere else. Hate that I even have to tell you guys about it.... Hard to find almost, go in shopping center of post office and drive down and turn right before big parking area and is on the right before the restaurant, door is behind white lattice...
