I'll first say that this place has a lot of sentimental value to me, I've been going to this park since I was a child, and it continues to make me feel that childlike happiness even now. The grounds are very well-kept, and there have been several new additions to keep things interesting, from a new playground to "holes" for frisbee golf. The center they have to host events is always clean, and the seasonal events at the place are always of extremely high quality. If you're looking for a place to stroll, a place to play catch or frisbee golf, or just a place to relax and enjoy the sun, Eckhart park will always be a top-notch...
Read moreThe park was fine. Well groomed. But my experience was less than stellar with the football program. A young man on the dekalb team held down and choked one of our players. The ref had to remove him. No penalty, and the kid continued to play. Our player was removed and walked off the field holding his neck. Coaches, you should be ashamed to even allow a player to be on your team that acts like that, parents of that kid, better get a handle on him now or hes gonna be a problem...
Read moreI love this park! Big old trees the river the secret old Bridge are some of the highlights to name a few. I found my first Indian spear head here on the river bank. If you need some quiet time to ground yourself this is a great place. I ran into a four girl smoking party this visit the aroma in the air smelled happy! Come check this place out. This park does awesome stuff for Halloween and Christmas as well some I am submitting some pictures of this year's Beetlejuice themed...
