DeKalb Outdoor Theater — Attraction in Auburn

This is such a great place to take your own lawn chairs & watch/listen to the music! They have a set of bleachers if you forget your chairs that aren’t too bad either. There was a couple vendors set up that sold things like coffee ‘Starbuck’s style’, ice cream products, popcorn, & a few other things for decent prices. There is someone who will collect donations at the gate, if you are willing to donate (I suggest/recommend you do). There are a variety of performances, bands, and musicals that go on every day. Weather is the only reason an event would be cancelled. The Outdoor Theatre creates a chance for the community to go out and interact with each other. The PA system is WAY better than Kendallville's (not crackly and static to where you can't understand them). But when sitting on the truck to one end in bleachers for a demolition derby event this year sucked. You weren't high enough so that if a car got caught on the logs at your end, your view of the rest of the cars is ruined and you're just sitting there twiddling your thumbs. AND you have to pay EXTRA for these really CRAPPY...
