The Brown House — Restaurant in Auburn

My wife and I first visit! The cook guy needs to learn to read the order and make the food the way it was order. Also lose the attitude. I order a cheeseburger with everything and double cheeseburger deluxe the two options they offer. Deluxe and everything one of each to try their suggested dressed styles. You would think their burger cook would know the toppings included with each option. Both completely backwards and missing toppings. Go back in to get them to fixed the fix switch the buns around not adding the missing toppings. Now I have burger that is mustard, ketchup, onions and pickles only now covered in mayo the other was mayo lettuce tomato only now covered in mustard and ketchup. How does this make sense? We go back in the ask way they now cover each other sauces and cold the burger cook raises his voice and talk down to my wife and call her a liar. The try to put the burger on new bun and make us take the after asking for a refund. After processing the refund the money was NOT handed to us nicely. I did keep the veggie basket and soda I could imagine the food is good but the customer service makes it the worst food in the world and not being able to try my burger because the hamburger cook had an attitude problem and couldn't make them properly. Who will ever know if the food is good here with that kind of service..

My family and I were on a trip north from Nashville, Tennessee and were staying in Auburn, near the Duesenberg museum. Seeing The Brown House was just down the street, we decided to give it a try for dinner. First thing I want to mention is how kind the staff were. They were having a rough day due to some internal issues, and were understaffed, but remained very attentive and respectful. I know how hard it can be to work under pressure, especially in a retail situation, and they were handling everything very well and were fun to talk to. Beyond that, the food was very tasty! My family and I especially loved the ice cream. I got the Moose Tracks milkshake/sundae and it was amazing. The soft serve reminded me of those old soft serve stands on the boardwalk on the east coast. (Very nostalgic and yummy!)

Making a trip up north and this was one of our stops! If you want a quick lunch with Coney's, sandwiches, fries, ice cream, etc. then make your way here. Ordered a bunch of Coney Dogs to take back with us because my wife's family loves them and it's one of those, "when you have one, you want another" Got those and the Vanilla Come and oh man! That Vanilla coke is like drinking a heaven! It's spectacular! Had a chocolate shake too and it was good! The hot ham and cheese was great. Maybe some more ham next time! 😉 After a quick stop a couple hours later, we grabbed a couple of coney dogs and I decided to try one for the first time and that statement above was right! But...I didn't. I couldn't. I was already full. Tomorrow though. We will have them tomorrow. Great little place!...
