Went in for a mat for a print I purchased online and was met with a comic book guy level attitude. Was told by the lady, who I inconvenienced by my mere presence, that the place where I bought the print should’ve provided the matting and how much she hates when people get the wrong matting and expect her to fix it and blah, blah, blah. I don’t know what I was thinking asking a frame company to you know, help you frame something. Silly me. I have a lot of items that need full framing and was hoping to support a local small business, but I suppose they don’t need the support. She proceeded to open and critique the artist for "not spending the extra dollar for an acid free matte", after which I explained the artist was deceased. She seemed unfazed and then opened the picture which was taped to the matte and began scraping at the taped corners. I immediately stopped her and asked for a razor, to which she replied "I've done this a thousand times, I won't hurt your picture". At this point I wrapped the picture up and left. Easy to find and her prices beat the big box stores. Such a fun store with lots of interesting goodies for sale.
