I was shopping yesterday at the goodwill on furys ferry rd, i was minding my own business looking for a few pair of swim shorts and a few t-shirts because my family and I are going on vacation to the beach next week. I was at this goodwill maybe a hour or so, I found a few outfits that i had all intentions of purchasing, i didnt go to the dressing room nor did i do anything wrong all of a sudden the manager and two police officers are in front of me trying to get my attention claiming the manager wanted me tresspassed... the manager was claiming i was at this property on the 21st of last month stealing. I explained I hadnt been to this goodwill in two weeks or so, actually it was Fathers Day in which my wife and I came to this same goodwill at about 30 min before they closed on 6/16/25 and we PURCHASED $98 dollars for used donated outfits for me for fathers day. ( i also remember on that day, the employees being super rude to us as well, because we came in and shopped 30 min before they closed) Only reason i was shopping here In the first place is because My wife and I are trying to save a few bucks by purchasing second hand items because we have been struggling a little lately dealing with the increase in moneys owed across the board, increases in all of our bills, + rise of inflation, + rise in property taxes, insurance, etc... the manager or whoever the guy was that called the police on me for shopping and had me tresspassed, owes me an apology because im not the person he thinks i am. You know things are getting really bad when you get kicked out of a second hand store over someone elses wrong, all this for items that were donated to goodwill for free. Goodwill being the excellent company they are turn right back around and charge the community 8.50 for used donated shirts, 6-8 dollars per pair of used donated shorts, 30-40 dollars for used pairs of donated shoes. The manager of this store should be fired for lying to the police and falsely accusing me of stealing some second hand items. Not only will I never spend another dollar with your company nor will i ever donate another item to this location, same goes for my family, my extended family, as well as everyone i know. So top take away from this is- if you are a bald Caucasian middle aged man wearing sunglasses, i wouldnt go to this location in fear of being prosecuted for shopping at a second hand store. To prove im not a thief i attached my bank statement from the day i was truly...
Read moreFirst let me say I'm an avid thrifter! I USE to Love Goodwill until this thrift store that claims to give back to the community and claim to be doing all these great things for the community is selling use products so Expensive! And then have the Nerve to ask you to Round Up your Change after they have already over charged you. Now to why I'm here. On 5/18/24 I went into the Goodwill on Washington Rd one of my purchase was a wireless speaker. I was hesitant about buying it, However! The guy who was a play manager assured me that it wasn't a donated item and that like any product that I walked into an electronic store to buy it was all good. Ok! So I went ahead and pay the $22.99 I got home plugged it up I'm all excited it came on music is playing. Ten minutes later it's saying battery is Low! This thing is plugged in why is Battery Low! I tried plugging it to my computer and every outlet in my house No Damn Dice. Now I've lost appetite I'm no longer excited about this Buy! Next day 5/19/24 I took the speaker back to Goodwill. I politely ask for the Manger she came over I explained the problem and all I got from her was a Shrugged Shoulder! Excuse Me! I won't accept that from you. Then she Brought another person who claimed to be a manager to explain to me it policy that they cannot Exchange any New Products. The oneA be Manager that sold me the Item tried to get it to work still No dice! Because I don't collect Junk I left it in the store. They can go ahead a resell a unless worthless product. Shame on...
Read moreMy experience with this store has unfortunately been not so good. I bought several kids' clothes at slightly higher prices than other Goodwills I've been too, but no biggy... The problem is, like other Goodwills, they have the kids clothes so disorganized you have to search through every single piece of clothing on the rack to find the sizes you are looking for which takes forever. Due to time getting short I was not able to double check all the clothing well and they apparently had many pieces of clothing that were damaged. I got home and found holes in the first three shirts I pulled out of the bag and then to top it off, several items had holes in them from the store employee putting the tag in a bad spot! My advice to you would be to take the whole day if you are clothes shopping here and take your time to see where they've tagged everything and if they have put out damaged merchandise because its not worth paying $2-$3 per item for damaged clothing. I've worked at a thrift shop so I know you get a lot of damaged goods in, but don't sell them for that much and mix them in with other items so people don't know they are paying full price for junk. I gave it two stars because the cashier was awesome at her job and I only can rate the clothing portion of the store. Also, I live farther away and don't want to try to take items back so I don't know if they would have refunded my money or not, otherwise, I'd have given...
