Dacotah Bank Center — Attraction in Aurora Township

The DEC is a beautiful venue and so accommodating with having the restaurant and 2 hotels onsite! I'm at the DEC multiple times a year as a wedding planner and decorator. Besides the gorgeous space, the staff is outstanding! Austin and Josh are always dressed professional, check-in with all vendors to make sure everything is perfect and are attentive throughout the duration of the event. Jenny is always willing to answer my questions in a timely manner and accommodate to any requests I have. Let me start by saying the space isn't bad, it is how they staff it. Pretty sure everyone trying to get a drink had to wait at least 20 mins minimum in line. After waiting I was informed it was a cash only lane, which there were no signs for. Went to another lane that took credit cards, only to be told I couldn't get a drink because the staff member serving was underage. Again, no signage indicating that. So now 40+ minutes in line with everyone around also angry with the wait times. Fix the staffing for drinks and concessions or it's not...

As a Wedding Planner / Event Planner in the area I highly recommend the Dacotah Bank Center for any event large or small!

The space is very customizable to any guest size you have. Easily the best place in the area for a really large guest count. The use of the arena might be a bit daunting at first but they transform that space beautifully making it cozy and inviting!

The team at the Dacotah Bank Center are super welcoming and eager to help in any way needed! Highly recommended!!
