We arrived on Saturday evening about 5:00 p.m. I had a reservation that I made on my app, as I'm a Choice Hotels member. I saw the Trip Advisor and it looked pretty good (on the outside) The CONS! We arrived at our room about 5 p.m. and found that the Air condition GFI had been tripped, so it was 86 degrees and muggy in the room. I reset the GFI button and it took until Monday a.m. to finally got to 70 degrees. The Air Conditioner Vent needed to be cleaned as it was dusty and smelled, so I cleaned that out as well.
Looking over the room, there were 2 block holes above the first bed, the Valance over the window needed to be adjusted and tighted back up to the ceiling, as you could see daylight through it. (I like a dark room)
There was a rust spot on the tub, and in the bathroom there was black mold spots on the ceiling above the shower.
The microwave light was out for the counter area in the kitchenette. And the garbage disposal switch wasn't marked. (Hazard?) Just in case someone puts there hand near and someone flips the switch??
Because we are Choice Members, I got my welcome bag of a bottle of water, a cookie and a note to Review on Google and TripAdvisor, and I am placing my honest review on both those areas.
We have stayed at multiple Choice Hotels owned by Radisson and some need updating like this particular hotel.
We stayed in room 318 and yes we could have asked for another room, or moved to another hotel nearby, but we had an event on Sunday and just didn't have the time to get another hotel or ask for a different room. So we endured.
The PROs: Front Desk staff and breakfast staff were friendly.
The Breakfast area was cleaned and both mornings we came down toward the end of the breakfast time, but had a quick coffee and eggs and sausage. typical hotel breakfast.
The outside of the hotel looked great, and the grounds are well kept, looks like the pool and hot tub were available along with the fitness area, tho we didn't witness anyone in them.
We stayed, we slept, we had a quick breakfast in the a.m. but I do hope these small updates and general overview of the room can be checked into, to give the next person a better...

Read moreFor what I paid for this hotel the quality of the room was terrible. After checking in, we noticed the bathroom fan cover was hanging off to one side exposing the fan itself, the bathtub drain was clogged with an obvious hair ball(super gross), the bathtub didn’t even look like it was cleaned (soap scum, mildew/black mold in the grout around the tub) ring around the tub itself, the beds looked like they were thrown together, (presentation was horrible). Also there was not enough towels in the room, no informs about the area in the room like most hotels in this chain, we were on the 3rd floor and I noticed that the window could be opened all the way (most hotels have a window stopper to prevent people from possibility jumping out) the windows were also super old and horribly maintained we were getting a breeze from the cracks around the window.
We ended up going into the pool and left after about 15 minutes because the chlorine was burning our eyes so badly, and the pool temp was way too warm.
Honestly the pictures online made this hotel look well maintained but they definitely did not match, It was literally a catfish situation. The only accurate photo was the lobby.
The young guy sitting at the desk at check out (Monday 8/5/2024) around 5am didn’t know what he was doing. Needless to say we were super disappointed.
The only positives were the front desk gentleman (I believe his name was Jay) super friendly/helpful, he was dressed professionally as well. 10/10 The breakfast employee was an amazing person. She was on top of the breakfast area, super Pleasant, friendly, had a smile on her face, and she made sure the breakfast area was always...
