Homestead Meats — Local services in Aurora Township

I am so glad we have an excellent meat shop in Brookings. Here is my list of delicious things to try! The hickory smoked chickens on Tuesday. SO juicy, fresh and delicious! We have picked one up for the last few weeks on Tuesday and have never been disappointed. The macaroni cheese, both with the brisket and without. Cheesy, hearty and very flavorful. Just a little hint of smoke. Not overdone at all. The Kaiser rolls. They have a wonderful crusty top, but a nice, buttery, smooth texture inside. Polish sausage! MMMM! Pair this with a roasted cabbage and you have a meal! I could go on, but needless to say, we haven't had anything bad! Keep up...

My husband dropped off venison in the morning to be processed into steaks and burger. They advised it would be completed the following week, which was surprisingly fast. To my amazement they called that afternoon advising it was done. We have never had same day processing from anyone! The only negative thing I can say is that they didn’t tell my husband de-boning was going to cost $100 extra. No problem, as he will debone it himself next time. Also we bought pulled pork from them. Flew to visit family from Alaska and found this gem to get meat to bring back home. We had quite an order and they did it quickly and all the meat looks beautiful. This family owned business is going to be on our list of stops from now on. You can tell they take pride in their products and from start to finish their kindness was over the top.
