We made the trek out to Aurora to visit Thrift & Dollar on a weekend. It's definitely large and it's jam packed with some neat finds. The strip mall it was in was busy on a Saturday afternoon and most of the people seemed to be inside the thrift store. It was very busy inside, some aisles you had to wait your turn to walk down as there wasn't much space to move past others.
There wasn't really anything here that I would consider "garbage". Everything was clean and looked usable. Even things like cookware and dinnerware looked good. The prices on most things were very reasonable as well.
There aren't many clothes here, it's more of a housewares type thrift store. TONS of furniture, most of it in great condition. Lots of older, vintage, and antique furniture which had a ton of value if you compare prices to other thrift stores and used furniture stores in the area. I did see some appliances in the very back area as well but didn't go back there.

Read moreI've been going here on a regular basis for over five years. I love this place and the employees. From a re-seller/personal purchase standpoint you should absolutely travel from near and far to visit this place. They have a little bit of everything. Some of the aisles are a bit narrow so here's what I do! I grab a plastic bin from the back area like by the tools and carry that around with me. Sometimes setting it at the end of an aisle and filling as I go...if one isn't available they don't mind if I set things up front. If I have my children with me I always bring a carrier. Then I can strap my youngest to my back. I don't mind the cramped space. They fit a whole lot of amazing things in this shop! It's like going to an estate sale without you know...going to an...
Read moreThrift and dollar is a great place to go for 2nd hand furniture and housewares. Stuffed to the gills with wall art, knick knacks, glassware sets and dish sets. They mostly keep dish and glass ware sets together, although some are not. Old tools, paint, light bulbs, and rugs. Lots of tables, curios, buffets, and chairs. A fair amount of items from 80s and 90s with a few from 60/70s. A few unique items like a catering dry bar from the 70s. They have a huge fiberglass elephant in the back along with a few appliances. Well organized for a thrift store. A small clothes section with purses hats and jewelry, but not a large selection of these items. Friendly staff. Prices are fair. Will go...
