I found this delightful locally owned ice cream shop while exploring Arapahoe Commons Shopping Center. When I walked in, I felt happiness. Immediately, my mood was lifted by the smell of sweetness that I imagine is what Willy Wonka's place smelled like. The colors are bright with cheerful images and quotes on walls, mirrors, and even a spin wheel. The folks behind the counter were the type of friendly that left you wondering if you had met them before. I tried the strawberry sorbet and lemon ice cream with cupcake gummies on top. It was divine. Not only does Howdy's make homemade ice cream and waffle cones, but they also have a mission to employ people with different abilities to be heros of their teams. I loved everything about this place! I loved it so much that I'm having Howdy's served at a corporate event. If you're looking for a happy place, you can't...

I absolutely love the ice cream from this delightful shop, not to mention their admirable mission to create job opportunities for individuals with Autism and Down Syndrome. My family and I have visited multiple times, and on each occasion, we have been warmly welcomed by a team of enthusiastic staff members who go above and beyond to ensure a fantastic experience for their guests. The shop maintains a pristine environment, and they frequently organize enjoyable events that add to the overall charm. During my last visit, I was thrilled to see the Arapahoe County Sheriff's office engaging with customers and promoting the Special Olympics alongside their Ford F-150 Raffle truck. Don't pass up the chance to indulge in their heavenly ice cream while supporting this exceptional small business, whose mission is nothing short of...

This place was absolutely amazing. Super fun, super exciting. My husband and I were on a long-awaited day with no kids and had just come from a lunch at Chili's, not the one in this parking Lot. I has said I was in the mood for some REAL ice cream, so my husband started driving. He just randomly turned into this parking lot and we didn't think we would find ice cream. At the last second I spotted Howdys and said YES!! We went inside and we will not regret it. Pretty sure it was the owner who greeted us and explained their mission and the heroes who work there. We have a "Wednesday Wendy's" deal, and a "McDonald's Friday" deal with our 8 yr old for after school treats. After coming here that has changed to "Howdys Wednesday and Friday" after school. If you haven't been here, you need to 100% the BEST ice cream spot...

We stopped by this ice cream shop and were really impressed by the creativity and quality. The flavors are super unique and really well done, definitely on the sweeter side, but in a good way. What really sets this place apart is the cones. You can get custom cones with different flavors, which is a fun twist you don’t see very often. One thing to note: the cones are a little delicate and tend to break easily, so I’d recommend asking for a cup just in case , better to be safe than end up with a sticky mess. Overall, it’s a great spot with fun vibes and some of the most interesting ice cream options we’ve tried. Definitely worth a visit!

This is the best ice cream in the Denver metropolitan area. The ethos of the company is unparalleled and the staff are so kind and helpful. They are prepared to answer questions and have great recommendations. I am absolutely obsessed with the Chocolate Velvet Reese’s flavor. I live about half an hour away and the experience is worth the drive. Few businesses give back to their employees the way that Howdy’s does and they do it in a way that doesn’t compromise the quality of their product as well. Extremely affordable. I cannot rave enough about this business and encourage everyone to try it out!
