This was my first time coming to this movie theater. I thought it was going to be special because it was an IMAX but it wasn't like what I remember IMAX to be I guess it's bigger than a normal screen. But I didn't find it to be amazingly huge or anything. I did like the Dolby Surround Sound however during the times when music was loud the voices were really hard to hear. I feel like the balance between treble and base was off. It made me worry for my companions that they were not hearing the dialogue. I actually saw this movie twice because it was so good and I felt bad that my husband didn't get to come the first time I saw it with my daughter. So I knew what they were saying but I wasn't sure if that was from memory or if I was actually hearing them or not. The seats rock a little bit and they are velvet so it's nice if you like something soft but if you have OCD you might be worried about things like bed bugs the whole entire time. Talk about nightmare fuel. And I totally wasn't feeling itchy the whole entire movie subconsciously freaking out or anything. 😆 Thankfully I did not seem to come away with any new bites or anything it was just my own paranoia but that goes to show that velvet seats are just not my jam. The other thing that sucked is I feel like the employees there hate their job. Every single person that I communicated with seemed miserable and I tried so hard smiling and asking how they were doing and telling them to have a good night and I didn't even get a teensy wincy grin from anyone. And I am not of the opinion that people should fake how they are feeling to make me happy that is not the point. The point is why are they so unhappy? Does their employer treat them poorly? Does their job suck that badly that they are all so miserable? Because I wouldn't want to go to an establishment where the employees are not treated properly and they are having a horrible time doing their job. Because that makes me feel bad for them. So I don't know what's going on at this movie theater but it is definitely not a happy vibe. I feel like the manager needs to appreciate their employees more or give everyone a raise or something because jeez it is dismal here. Anyway all-in-all this is an okay movie theater but not something that I would probably come back for. I guess the coolest thing is the exterior is pretty jazzy. I don't know if they were inspired by the Mandarin in California but it kind of seems like that. So I guess that is neat. But I don't go to the movie theater to enjoy the exterior of the building. Lol. If this is your local movie theater it is perfectly adequate. But if you are driving out of your way to go to the IMAX it's probably not worth it.

6/2/22- When waiting for my movie to start the bar wasn't open. First off this is a failing on the location because they don't have open what they should. Then I saw a guy politely ask for 2 beers. The bar tender got snippy with him and said they weren't open yet. A few minutes later I over heard her lying to her boss about the interaction and saying she didn't feel comfortable now around that guy. I went up to the manager and told her flat out the employee was lying, that both my mom and I had seen what had happened, and that the situation was her fault. The employee then snapped back at me even though I had been talking to her manager and not her. This employee needs to be let go not only because of horrible service, but for opening lying at work and then verbally attacking a third party for reporting her behavior. This also doesn't take into account that when my mom also tried to get pop corn the first time that they told her the machine was broke. Then later they got it working. This place is just horrible due to the workers it currently has.

Would give 1 star if I could. I actally am sitting outside the movie I came to see with my daughter, I'm that mad. First off, this movie only is showing in 2 theaters today at 7 pm in Colorado. They were supposed to have a special edition cup and bucket. No one made sure that happened for the patrons for this special event. The sign at concessions advertises 30-piece pretzel bites for 12.99 limited time. Went to order it as a treat to share with my daughter, the girl says "we don't have a special like that here" then she says "even if we did our oven is broken we couldn't make that." My daughter, by that point, wanted to cry, I paid for the movie, but I'm so angry I can't enjoy this amazing music. Of course, management is nowhere to be found when this all happens. Update: a response by this business was done very quickly and since this experience I have not had another that was super negative and in fact my last visit to the movies, I did not realize that the theater we were supposed to see the movie in had the black partial reclining seats which significantly hurt my back (aggravating already painful medical conditions) & When I realized the same movie was playing 30 minutes later in a theater with the red full reclining seats I asked if My hubby and I would be able to switch over and watch that movie and the manager helped me immediately and made it an extremely easy and pleasant experience to do so! So normally I have a pretty decent experience at this theater. We have the rewards (pay per month to see movies for "free") & on the rare occasion that my husband and I get to actually go out and have a date night, like tonight, it's a super special experience when it's just the two of us in a theater. Unfortunately when a person comes in barely after the movie ends, while I had to run to the bathroom before getting my service dog and belongings to then drive home, proceeds to make us feel like the most unwelcome pests, trying to rush us out and vacuuming literally before we have a chance to gather anything, it makes for a pretty crappy end to the night. Why this person felt the need to vacuum the entirety of the theater when it was just the two of us and then stand there muttering under their breath waiting for us to leave is beyond me... This is literally the ONLY time that this has happened & I feel this person needs a reeducation on how they should treat their guests at the theater. We didn't make a mess, we ALWAYS clean up after ourselves & spend a decent amount of money each time that we go. I'm absolutely appalled at this person's behavior and how insanely awkward and uncomfortable they decided to make the end of our movie...

I just went and caught the Dogma special rerelease, and that "premium" AMC theater was a nightmare. Got there and they had moved it into a smaller theater than when we bought our tickets last month, and suddenly discovered that three of our four seats didn't exist in this theater (C13-16 - but the row stopped at 13). My hip was in full flare-up, so I couldn't hobble back down to the front. My kid went on our behalf. The guy was wholly uninterested in her issue. He just shrugged and said they had to downsize. Those were $20 tickets, my dude. Fine, he sighed, and told my daughter we could sit in the back row (we had been in the front row of the back section) because he was 80% certain no one was sitting there. We move seats, and the reclining mechanism is touchy. Shift in your seat, and the whole thing will recline you flat or sit you up straight. Finally, the lights go down - no trailers - and the audio starts up - no visual. This goes on for more than 5 minutes (through the opening title cards and the scene with George Carlin's speech about the Church). One of our party finally gets up and leaves to tell the management. He comes back, audio-only still playing, and says they said they were working on it. Finally, the movie shuts off, the lights come up, and someone from behind the back wall yells, "We're working on it." Another few minutes, and the movie finally starts up correctly. No apologies.

After the movie, I stop to use the restroom, and it is trashed. Water and crumpled paper towel all over the floor. The soap dispenser is out. That is the movie-going experience I won't be paying for again. Never again going to the AMC Arapahoe Crossing 16 in Aurora, thank you very much. The place is a dump and the people in charge of the "movie going" experience are awful. The only plus side was the folks at the Concession Stand...
