Made an appointment with them for a month out, they didn't have anything sooner. Had 2 separate phone calls with their office to explain my needs and why I needed the appointment. Had the same conversation both times with different people and provided all requested information both times, apparently they don't document or share answers. During both calls I was informed no less than 4 times that my appointment was still valid and scheduled. However, when I arrived at my appointment 45 mins from home through heavy traffic after having taken the day off of work, I was informed at the check-in counter that my appointment had been cancelled a week prior. Likely shortly after my 2nd call which had assured me my appointment was still scheduled. How did they inform me that my appointment had been cancelled? They left a note for me on their web app. I have had an account with their app for 10 years and have checked it maybe 3 times and only ever post-appointment for test results. Never have a scheduled an appointment through the app or has it been used to notify me of changes to my appointment. And what was their response to my concern? "Sorry, you'll just have to reschedule." I suspect I have lost $600 in lost working time, fuel, and car wear and tear. And now I must wait another month before my next appointment which I have no guarantee of getting. Will Anschutz reimburse me for my loss due to their lack of notice? If I had sent them a text message notifying them that I would not attend my appointment, would they still charge me a no-show fee? Certainly! I am deeply frustrated that my time is not considered every bit as valuable as their own. I am a human person, I have work, I have responsibilities, and places I need to be. Shame...
Read moreThis review is for the Cardiac ICU department. My husband had emergency open heart surgery on July 13th, 2022. It was the scariest thing my husband and I ever had to go through. The surgery was successful, thank God! He was then taken to the ICU still on life support. This is where we met my husband's nurse, Benny! There isn't enough words to describe how wonderful Benny is! He is professional, caring, kind and truly loves his job! Benny made myself and all of my husband's friends and family feel welcome anytime we showed up. He was informative and always kept me up to date on everything that either happened the night before or if a procedure was going to be taking place. He always took the time to answer any questions I may have had and made sure not only if my husband was doing ok, but me as well! In my opinion, anybody that is in Benny's care is sure to have one of the best caretakers. I am forever grateful to him and the entire surgical team that worked on my husband. Dr. Reece is amazing at his job. I will be forever thankful for him. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all that was part of treating my husband, and making sure that it was all a success. You guys...
Read moreI think it’s a decent hospital, with some good doctors and nurses that we’ve met with, but they (the hospital) can’t get their act together. Their administrative staff leaves A LOT to be desired. Maybe they’re required by the city or state to hire a certain number of work release employees??? They are very unprofessional— eating while at the desk and talking to patients to check them in, having earbuds in, listening to them sing-along to explicit songs (example: WAP— yep, true story), ignoring patients until their song is over. While in the main lobby, we got front row seats to a huge fight with yelling, screaming, papers thrown, and what sounded like a chair thrown. We assumed it was some junkie off the streets, but it turns out it was a security lady yelling at the other security guards as she was getting escorted out of the building. I presume she was fired. The hospital itself certainly is not in the greatest part of town, so that may lead to some of their inability to hire...
