This is a wonderful little park that has really cool options for kids while trying to preserve (or technically create) some nature for enjoyment. There's a fun playground set and a large grassy field for soccer and baseball, with a small grilling area and a few covered picnic tables. I've never used it, but it looks like there's a seasonal bathroom on the premises, too. There's plenty of parking, and this is probably because the park is connected to a small path on a pond where (depending on the time of year) you can see/hear all kinds of birds and view water plants, as well as walk on what are called "flat 14ers" - paved paths that are the equivalent distance of climbing a 14er without having to climb a mountain or change elevation. The whole area is really cool! I certainly hope they don't shrink the park or tear any of the...
Read moreWe stopped to have a walk in a different place yesterday. There is access to the trails here and we were just curious where they went. What a great spot!!! The trails are extensive and the parks are so cute! This one is handicapped friendly and one of the coolest parks ever!! We love inclusivity! I had a blast playing while husband was answering some with emails. lol The zipline type thing was my favorite! So smooth and easy. Except stopping. That was hard. lol When I was a little kid my dad hung a barge rope from a huge tree in our backyard And put a giant knot in the bottom of the rope. Then he built a platform for me to jump off. I spent hours on that thing and this little piece of playground equipment made me feel 8 years old again. I can’t wait to take the Littles in my life back there! And there are...
Read moreAmazing park! I was so overwhelmed by all of the activities! It is also set in a beautiful neighborhood. I brought my 2.5 year old and his little trike and he rode around the neighborhood in between zip lining, swinging, sliding, and climbing… oh my goodness so much more! There are speakers that play instrumental songs when you come through the entrance. It feels like you are entering a theme park. There are music stations to play music. There are also many areas that just show different facts about music and different notes and the children can really learn here. It’s just a great park and we went when the water wasn’t even on anymore and still had a blast! So I can only imagine what it’s like when the sprinklers are on in the summertime. Definitely stop by this park anytime of the year,...
