Sam's Meats is unique in a city filled with gigantic grocery stores and food warehouses! One star for being a great, "mom & pop," woman owned business that caters to carnivores of all types. One star for the new location, though there really wasn't anything wrong with the old location. It is brighter, with more windows, better lighting, and has a more upscale interior design. One star for the quality of all the products offered to satisfy all manner of carnivores as well as other treats. Sometimes I stop by just to pick up a pie! One star for the wide selection of land animals and water dwelling creatures to feast on and the sheer number of options available to rub on, dip in, shake over or marinate them. I do love their offerings! But no place is perfect, and my current gripe with Sam's Meats is that the new place is too big for them manage. It now feels cold and impersonal and they've lost the friendly vibe they used to have. They can't see the whole store hiding behind the meat counters in the back and so they no longer even say hello to their customers. It doesn't help that they decided to focus on reducing us to numbers. You can no longer just grab something from a case or counter and walk up to the register to check out like at the old place. You can stand right in front of them with your pie or BBQ sauce and you'll just get ignored! Forget expecting anyone to notice you or offer to help you if you are browsing around. So minus a star for running the new place like the DMV. Don't forget your number!!

Man where to start I usually have a great experience when shopping there I normally get oxtails and deer steaks . Well on this occasion I went in to get some pork neck bones and I was told that they have some beef neck bones but he would have to prepare them in the back how much did I want after seeing the pork neck bones I decided to get 4 pounds of each . When he brought the beef out it wrapped in the white paper that u can’t see thru when I got home I was so disappointed it’s absolutely no meat on the beef neck bones only bones I definitely recommend going forward if they’re not getting the meat from the case and got to go to the back u ask them to open it up because this was completely unacceptable almost $20 for nothing but bones idk wat am I post to do with this most of the pieces barely have anything on this just lost for words with my customer experience that a meat butcher would sell something this poor quality

I want to warn others about my recent experience at Sam’s Meat Market. My wife bought a package of their house hot links, which are advertised at $10.99 per pound. The package did not have any weight listed, only a handwritten total of $41.98. When I got home, I weighed the meat myself — it came out to 3.13 pounds. At $10.99 per pound, that should have cost $34.43, not $41.98. The numbers don’t add up, and there’s no way for customers to verify what they’re paying for unless they bring a scale. This lack of transparency feels like price gouging, plain and simple. I recommend double-checking everything you buy from here, and if there’s no weight listed, ask before you pay. Businesses shouldn’t be allowed to make up prices without showing their math.

Never going back! These people dont care about their customers. I've been a loyal customer of Sam's for more than 7 years and I dont have anything bad to say about their quality because it is pretty good and I used to think the same about their service until today when they refuse it because quote "they were not doing meat packages". This morning my wife called at 9:00 and talk to Deborah asking to place an order for pick up, a sampler and a few extra cuts of steak and she said that because today was the 22th they where not taking any orders over the phone and that we had to visit the store and take the regular turns and we where ok with that so I drove 40 minutes from Denver like I used to do every 2 weeks and when I got there I did a line outside that lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes, once I got closer to the door they had a system where if you had an order already they would take your phone number and when they call your turn they would give you your order and if you didnt have an order and you where going to "shop around" you just grabbed a turn and wait for them to call you. When the guy at thee door asked me if I had and order I said no and that I was going to shop for a sampler with some stuff extra and he said ok and I grabbed the number 41 and they where serving number 14, after another 35 minutes when they call my number I asked for what I always get.. the sampler, 1 pound of chorizo 2 pounds of cubed pork 3 pounds of skirt stake 2 rib eyes and 1 pound of sliced pepperoni for sandwiches, and the guy tells me that he cant help me because today theyre not doing meat packages..I asked why and he said because of the date, they had no signs anywhere so I asked for them to just give me the contents and charge me separate not as a package but they refused because I was ordering what was in the package that they can give me the meats if I asked for some of the stuff in the packages...WHAT? remimd you my wife called in the morning and mentioned that we where going to get a sampler and when i got at the store I told the guy at the door after I did the line for an hour about going to shop for a sampler. When they refused I said ok and asked for a manager and 2 of the butchers told me the manager was busy so I tried to talk with the guy at the door and asked him if he could get ghe manager for me and after asking me what was going on told me that today they where not doing samplers 40 minutes after letting me inside and telling me to grab a turn for my sampler. They refused service and they refused to contact the manager for me. I left but I will never go back and will tell everyone I know everytime I get a chance of the way that I was treated today, I'm not even mad im...

This place rocks, oh my god. Wish I started coming here earlier. Great friendly service, and a wealth of resources for cooking and grilling. Seasonings, rubs, marinades, multiple previously unknown flavors from brands I was already familiar with, etc. They also carry Boylans, Sioux City, and Colorado Soda company sodas as well.

Yesterday I got some beef jerky, bison pet snack sticks, beer brats, cane sugar sodas, and some blueberry and merlot wine boar bratwurst. It's a great place to shop even if you're not planning on getting big chunks of meat from the counter. Plenty of pre wrapped frozen goodies, a cooler with summer sausage style salami/meat made from various types of game, some good cheeses, and they have loaves of bread at the counter that are incredible.

Not exaggerating when I say that there have been multiple things from here, that have been the best version of the item itself. The most recent one was their beef jerky. Incredibly tender, and had just the right amount of saltiness (I often find most jerky to be a little bit much). Highly recommend checking the place out, even if you don't want to spend a whole lot of money. Even $10 can easily net you an incredible snack or two, but this place really shines when you're able to do a more sizable trip whether it's for stuff from the meat cases, supplies for grilling, or stuff for a rockin...
