Wheel Park — Attraction in Aurora

I have grown up at this skate park been coming here since it opened in the early 00s. Be aware of your surroundings always and children should wear helmets and yield to the more experienced crowd. It's common courtesy. Definitely bring your kids just teach them common courtesy of a skate park. Kids will be kids you'll be laughed at for falling but suck it up buttercup it's apart of growing up and getting better at anything. The overall crowd of people for the location of the park is fine. It's not a ghetto crowd or a ghetto park. Y'all want a perfect skatepark? Request one in a perfect area like Highlands ranch. Aurora's just not that place. This is tax payer $ spent well 👍 I wish I had known about this place years ago when I first moved down the street from it! The concrete park is awesome and has a good flow to its design. There is a dirt jump/ race course for BMX and mountain biking it seems like it's in need of some maintenance though after all the rain we have had lately. 3 different rinks for line hockey 🏒 and soccer ⚽️, RC car track/ jumping area, at one point there was a section that had ramps for skate boards and bikes not sure if it's there still.. Seems like a great place for youngsters to go recreate and stay out of trouble and violence.. City of Aurora would be wise to build another place just like this on the other...

Rc track needs all the metal spikes removed and replaced. The track guide also needs replaced. Metal spikes are a no go for rc parts. The track itself is sweet but could also use a surface job. The gallery should be rebuilt and reinstated for driving purposes only and not sleeping in or on. All for donating money but only if certain standards and rules are kept. As is the track is rotting away a bit which is sad because the layout is amazing. Lastly someone posted there is no power.
