Decided to come here from the location and reviews. Had my young daughter with me and she didn't want Mexican food for lunch but also had no contributions to where we were going to eat, so we came here. Staff was friendly. Salsa was good but chips were just ok, didn't seem freshly made. I wanted to order a margarita and asked for a drink menu, but they didn't have one. I asked about their margaritas and basically got the description of their house margarita. I asked about the tequila, I didn't know the brand. I asked about the next level up of tequila but the waitress didn't give me any options other than a strawberry margarita which I was not looking for. I wanted a top shelf type margarita. Anyways, the house was not that good. There was a "puddle" of salt at the bottom of the drink that was not pleasing through a straw. The sweet and sour mix was a little weak, didn't taste fresh. I didn't enjoy the margarita at all. My daughter ate the chicken flautas and she liked it. I ordered the fried carnitas tacos and really enjoyed the flavors. My only complaint with the tacos were once I ate one, all the liquid dripped onto the plate and saturated the other tacos so they weren't very crispy. I think another way to position the tacos on the plate , like a rack of sorts, would be most excellent. I thought the rice and beans add on cost was a little ridiculous at around $2.50 each but they did taste good since they were included with my daughters kids meal (and I ate them 😁). 4/5 stars because the food I had was good, service was good, salsa was good, but margarita scenario was not enjoyable. I'll probably come back...
Read moreI thought this place would be my go to place for best Mexican food. Usually I order take-out and the food has always been good. My final and LAST lunch visit I dined in. While eating chips and dip and waiting on my food, the couple sitting in the booth across from me finished up eating and left. The female server went to clear off the table. She removed the dish wear from the table. and returned with the old/used/dirty plastic broom. No towel. She used the old/used/dirty broom and swept the floor around the table then swept the booth seats and swept the top of the table with the dirty/used/soiled broom. I have never seen booth seats and the top of a dining table swept with the broom. I thought a broom was was to sweep floor only. She did not use a towel and wipe down the booth seats or the top of the dining table. I am 100 percent sure that same broom is used to clean the bathroom floor and the entire floor for the entire restaurant. Once I seen her cleaning routin of sweeping a table top where food and utensils lay, I got up and left. I wont be returning. Makes me wonder do they clean the cooking stove top area with the broom also back in the kitchen. Goodluck. I had high hopes for this place but their cleaning practices was a huge huge turn off. Outside of the cleaning practices, the servers are very nice. But they need to learn how to properly clean up. You can't use the same broom that you clean a bathroom floor or any floor where bottom of shoes walk on every day and clean a tabletop and table seating booth...
