I've lived in CO for 9 years and this was my first time ever eating at Village Inn.
I was excited to try Village Inn. When we were seated, my side of the booth had a pile of crumbs and a couple of strands of dark hair on the seat. And then I noticed that the little space behind the seat cushion and underneath the backing was disgusting with bits of food and grime. This immediately turned me off to this place. But my daughter was starving, so we stayed. The waitress got a wet rag off a nearby table to wipe down my seat, probably the same rag used to wipe every table in there that morning. So that made me feel gross. And there greasy smudges still on the table from the previous customers.
After we ordered, I went to the bathroom which turned out to be a big mistake before eating. One of the 3 stalls was out of order and one of them had diarrhea in it and all over the toilet. I felt so sick. The only decent stall had trash on the floor behind the toilet and looked like the floor hadn't been mopped in weeks. The sink counter was dirty, dried soap accumulating on the counter under the dispenser and possibly mold.
I came back to the table with my appetite shot to hell. I ordered the strawberry and banana french toast and the toast had a weird taste to it. It was tolerable at first, but became gross the more I ate it. I ordered 4 strips of bacon and 3 of them were dried up and BROWN. The other one was so greasy it looked wet and there was a small hair on it, looks like a man's hair from his beard (pic included).
My daughter ordered the sausage and biscuit with gravy plate. Her hashbrowns were sopping wet with grease. She lost her appetite as well and we both just sat there looking at each other wishing we had gone somewhere else. I looked around at everyone else, wondering how they were enjoying their food so much!
Our waitress was really nice and checked on us often, though I unfortunately can't recall her name. She brought us to-go boxes, bless her heart lol, and we put our food in them and took them out with us just so it didn't look like we were being THOSE type of customers being snooty and leaving all this food untouched. We immediately dumped them in the nearest trashcan outside. So bummed that I spent $40 at this place.
We left there a couple of hours ago and my daughter's stomach has been hurting since.
I will never eat here again and it honestly has turned me off to eating at any...
Read moreI came in around 8pm on 11/7/24 at 15200 E Iliff Ave, Aurora, CO 80014 we have been coming for awhile and never had a server with a bad attitude and poor service till tonight. Food was great, but the lady who's name I was unable to get first when seating my mom got upset cause she asked for a booth, next when seating my mom said "drinks" then did not listen to what she asked for and then got upset when my mom a second time asked for hazelnut creamer. She then said "ready" and did not listen to the full order since she did extra pickles on my mom's sandwich instead of the extra avocado she asked for. She then brought our food and forgot the ranch that we asked for and again scoffed and got upset when we asked for it again. She did not once ask if everything was correct or if we needed anything else till she came rushing by saying "boxes" and walked off. She was more interested in talking to manager and showing something on her phone to him. Never came to check on us. And never came to ask if we wanted pie or anything else. I waited at register while she was busy again showing something to manager in the office on her phone. Then she got upset when trying to pull up my check and angrily gave me total just holding out her hand for my card and got upset when I asked for pie to go. At this point I could have been worse but all I said is "just need the receipt and we will be out of your hair" as she shoved the bag with mind you the smallest pieces of pie I have ever seen towards me then gave me a half ripped receipt and walked off. I have worked in the service industry and never gave anyone service like that. There are reasturants where people get paid to be rude maybe that's where she should work instead. We have been regulars for awhile and if we decide to go back to that location and she is still working we will walk back out. Never had a problem with anyone else. I would appreciate if that is addressed and handled promptly and properly. I would hate for someone nowadays to lose there job but if I treated someone like that I would expect to be let go. Just read another review with a posted video of the same server from 6 months ago her name is Tambra This obviously is normal behavior for her and seriously needs to...
Read moreThe only reason I'm giving this a one-star is because I can't go any lower on this survey. We arrived at 5:30 and were promptly seated our waiter Steve Harrison came to take our order after about 10 minutes he didn't write it down committed it to memory. After about 20 minutes he came back and gave us some kind of a excuse that they have him down as a trainer and when he entered the order it didn't go back to the kitchen and yada yada yada. About 6:15 I called another waitress name Sasha who was as helpful as she could be she was very busy and running all over the place told us that Steve was on break so she took our order and about 7pm Steve comes waltzing over to the table and says you still didn't get your food. I proceeded to tell him how upset I was and that how he horribly messed up our experience and order there and he started making excuses and I told him to hold it, don't even go there. I said there was no excuse he didn't even come over and check on us after he got back from break. He copped an attitude and I told him I was going to do this review and call corporate and he got cocky and said okay good my name is Steve Harrison. Just after he came to the table to see how we were doing the order did arrive at 7 p.m. so we sat there for an hour and a half with nothing. The food was terrible my omelette tasted terrible my friends burger was semi cold and was bad. When Steve originally came to take our order he was showing tats all over his arms and when he came back off brake he had his sleeves covering up the tattoos. Towards the end of the experience the busboy came out in sagging jeans around his butt wearing a hoodie and if it was up was also showing all kinds of tattoos. We went to check out and the night manager night manager Seth asked how it was and I told him it was terrible everything was terrible it was the worst experience I ever had. He apologized and comped the meals. All in all this is the worst dining experience I have ever really had. I will not be going back to this...
