Part Two
So I go back to the theater, this time, go in the opposite door, guess what, no F, after E. I go back to the ticket checker, tell him the same thing, he can care less. I then asked, is there a manager, I can speak with, he tells me, “somewhere around here” I asked, can he call one, he then tell me, “you can go over there, managers hang out over there”, pointing at, I assume customer service, which I’m hesitant, because service has been absolutely despicable at this point. Now I’m at customer service, I explain to this other young man. While showing him the tickets on my phone, he’s completely oblivious on what to do. He asked the young lady, next to him, who decided that I must be lying. So she question me, with doubt strongly in her voice, asking me, “did I buy the tickets now”? While holding my phone, which clearly shows the purchase date in bold black letters. I’m showing her, on my phone, all the details she needs to see that these are legitimate tickets. She then proceed to asked me, did we check in with the ticket checker, after I had already told her, we did, that’s how we know about the sitting situation in the theater. She finally found out that the theater was switched and they supposed to have sent me a new confirmation, which never happened. She couldn’t print out new tickets, so she walked us back to the theater, to place us so close to the screen that my neck was sure to have a cramp in it, which it does now. Thinking all is done, once we got in the theater, since we are being shown our new seats. It seem, that we don’t have seats, because the young lady who bought us in the theater is asking other guests, about the seats we are supposed to be giving. Now, we have to move, because they are claiming that they have six seats. I have already written so much and I’m still not even finish, just way too much that happened. Bottom line, AMC made our family tradition, a tragedy!!! This was our first time at this theater and surely will be a last time. I should have stayed with 620 or Stonelake, never had a problem there. Plus the popcorn was...
Read moreEDIT:I have to say the bar now that is done is awesome! they even have chairs to sit and have a few drinks before or after the movie!- I am a Cinemark rat myself usually so I might be a bit biased but for what this theater is I think it is a good alternative if a show time at this theater works better and it is a tad closer to ACC if I wanted to catch a movie after school. I did not enjoy non stadium seating. I am a bit below average height. I didn't have any issues today but I worry that if it's more crowded it might be an issue seeing over someone. I also felt the chairs weren't as nice as the ones at Cinemark. My friend was shaking her leg and I could hear the seat rock I had to tell her to stop a few times. Also why do they have those blue lights on the chairs? I sort of get why they are there but if you lean over the side even a tad it catches the corner of your eye. Also, these seats seem to be smaller than Cinemarks because my feet go over the edge, something that I haven't experienced before because I am not a tall person. Most people do experience that so I guess that isn't a huge ding but all in all the chairs felt smaller and don't seem to recline as far back, they also did not have an extra cup holder. Other than those small grievances, I don't think it was a bad place at all. It was clean and pretty nice the snack bar looked nice but I didn't get a chance to visit it this visit. I thought the full bar was pretty cool and that they have mixed drinks but I doubt I'll use it considering I don't want to make a bathroom run. I wouldn't say it is nicer than Cinemark, but it is a good alternative if I want to go to another fairly priced theater after...
Read moreThis movie theater isn't my preferred location more so a "last resort" kind of option.
The staff members are typically preoccupied with talking to one another and not very attentive to the movie goers, however, the overall cleanliness isn't terrible so that's a plus.
The pros: Reserved seating, self service ticket booth, and decent reclining seats. This theater also has a decent amount of rooms so there are decent show time options.
Specific issue with my latest visit: The movie was scheduled to start at 10 PM, by 10:15 the lol lights were still on and the previews hadn't started. Someone else in the theater decided to ask one of the employees about the movie and they were told they would go ask the manager. The movie goers came back and said a manager was looking into it. By 10:35 the same movie goers went back to ask for an update on the movie. They were then told that they we're fixing the projector and that they were sorry for the delay. 10:45, the previews started and the lights to the theater finally dimmed at 10:58. The manager never personally came to apologize to any of us, and that's my reason for 2 stars. Only thing I expected from this location was to watch a movie and I eventually did.
All in all, this theater isn't so bad that I wouldn't return... but it's still my last...
