K food Austin — Restaurant in Austin

Ordered some fried rice from this place and received some unappetizing steamed rice and veggies with a couple dashes of soy sauce in it. I took it back to them and said it wasn’t good and it wasn’t fried rice and they looked at it and agreed. I asked for my money back and they said they didn’t know how to do that on the credit card machine. I left the counter and went back and ate the wings I ordered (those were tasty) went back to see if they had figured it out and I saw they took the rice out of the chaffing dish and were actually frying it. Who forgets to fry the fried rice?! They still claimed not to know how to refund money which seemed very dishonest and one of the employees mentioned refunding me with cash and the manager reluctantly said ok. Will skip this place and go to Hmart where the food is...

TLDR; food is good and what I expected as an Asian. So I have an idea why people put 1 ⭐️.

I think people don’t read instructions or the descriptions of the food before they order sometimes….. in literal terms, the chicken friend rice is fried chicken rice

Someone said the “disgusting yellow thing” is a traditional Asian pickled radish. Thanks for saying parts of our food is disguising just because you’re not used to it girl 😂 ———

I got the onigiri and the chicken katsu and it’s delicious! Just like our onigiri in Taiwan and Japan.

The spicy tuna - was actually spicy. The rice just enough vinegar and sweet like sushi rice. And the rice was like they do in Asia - more on the side but it was amazing.

The pictures at this place are extremely deceiving my partner ordered the ramen and it was a shin cup ramen. it wasn’t even cooked fully and had little to no flavor , not to mention he also ordered the sushi plate and the veggies tasted if they had been left out and were brownish. Meanwhile i had ordered the cheese mozzarella dog and the coating around it didn’t taste like a korean corn dog the condiments which are on the counter display especially the mayo had a smell and taste to it, i had my expectations high for this place because it looked yummy.
