Austin Sports Center - Central — Attraction in Austin

It’s a decent sports center for volleyball and basketball, they recently renovated some of the courts. As other reviews , parking is limited here.

But this review is for the very unprofessional staff that works here, yes most people who work here are very young but please train your staff better to respond to injuries.

I’ve seen many times in basketball league when an injury involves blood, there’s no adequate items to properly clean up blood on the courts. Literally front desk girl just gave us a roll of paper towel to clean up blood with no gloves. And she gave my team attitude for not knowing where the first aid room was and blood was gushing down my face from an open laceration. I came back after finding the first aid room to ask another question and she was upset like we were such a bother to her to even ask for help. Please retrain...

Parking was limited and the front desk worker was extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked her a question, and she stared me blank in the face and said she doesn’t know the answer to my question, and didn’t offer any help. Been here twice and both were to watch roller derby. It was super fun. I highly recommend that you get there when the doors open so you are guaranteed a seat on the bleachers. There’s also some seating on the second floor that overlooks the entire court. There’s also a concession where they sell nachos, hotdogs, candy, water and sodas. They also sell beer and wine.
