Ben White Florist — Local services in Austin

So disappointed! Was assigned the task of finding a florist for my sister’s funeral next Saturday. I am new to Austin and had googled several places. Saw the excellent reviews for this florist, and wanted to go in person to talk to someone to see about pricing, and if they offered the flowers we were looking for.

Noticed in my search they closed in 45 minutes, so used GPS to make it 30 minutes before they closed. All need to see the open sign on but it’s saying that said they were shortstaffed so the lobby was closed. Hey, I totally understand being shortstaffed like at this time who isn’t? So I gave them a phone call. A young (sounded young, but perhaps I’m wrong) woman answered and I told her we were sitting outside the building. She explained why they were closed and I told her I completely understood, But that I wanted to inquire about pricing for a funeral arrangement.

So, instead of offering me an online option, or perhaps to take down my information, like my name, and number, and what I might be looking for and a date; she’s very hastily and haughtily said, “yeah well we close in 30 minutes”.

I responded I knew that because I googled it and rushed there to hopefully get information…. And there was just silence… like she didn’t care or was uninterested…

So I hung up 😩 So sad. I hope the owner addresses this person, because now we take our business...

When my daughter passed away, I knew planning her service was the last thing I would ever do for her and needed it to be special. I searched Pinterest until I found the right flowers. A set of the most beautiful bouquets, wreaths and spray I had ever seen. I tried all the florists near the funeral home, but was told no way - we can't/won't make that. I went to Ben White Florist and they looked at my pictures and listened to me describe what I needed between sobs. And they MADE IT HAPPEN! They even delivered them even though it was outside of their area. I was able to turn the wreath into a dried flower arrangement and it still hangs on my wall. I was blown away by the beautiful arrangements, as you first enter into the shop. The flowers are stunningly organized and presented. I was greeted immediately by Floral Staff and was given the list of options for a customized arrangement. I was honestly, overwhelmed by the beauty, that I only gave a nod and thank you, in response to the staff members. I went with a pre arranged fall boutique with a vase, because it was something unique, that I know I couldn't be creative enough to come up with on my own. The pricing was nice, checkout was a breeze. I will be back for more occasions that need the beauty the flowers from this...
