Nice lil walking trail around the park. Benches/tables along the way. Gazebos. A small bridge. Grassy areas. I rarely rate parks under 4 stars though, unless there are needles laying around or something. Ha. But I do like this park regardless! They have a creek restoration in progress, which is nice. Could use more of that. I haven’t walked the entire park so unsure if there’s a playground for the kiddos but I’m assuming, since they have other good stuff.

The trails are quite nice, but there is A LOT of poison ivy. It's mostly in the no-mow zones, which is fine because people shouldn't be in there anyway, but it's also growing on a good amount of trees. If you just want a nice place to walk, cycle, or picnic, your needs will be met and you'll probably have a good time. It would just be a better greenbelt if there was some signage to warn about the poison ivy.

About a 2 1/2 mile biking and walking trail with clearly marked paths. Some lighting after dark. Park pavilion and additional benches located throughout, a couple of iron pedestrian/bike bridges, well lit crossing paths at East 11th and MLK. Variety of people present including with strollers and pets. Pieces of the path are granite dirt. Plenty of space to hang out, throw a ball, have a picnic.

Not that exciting of a trail. Had some really cool ants that were moving a ton of leaves and even cleaning their own pathways. Wasn't a long trail. Parking was tricky to find. Wasn't in the best of neighborhoods. Men's room was closed and the women's restroom had metal prison toilets. A fenced train track runs through the middle with no easy way around so this green belt is effectively spilt in two. It did have some historic structures and some cool 70's looking abstract art...

Old venue. During this period of Covid to fully enjoy the area l suggest that both Parks Dept. and Austin Police Dept. be contacted as to "bad behavior" in the specialized areas you wish to visit. Depending on what times are allowed, remember these areas get dark early so the "buddy system" is always prudent! Otherwise enjoy all Austin Wilderness areas and Parks to the max. Thank goodness we have a number of...
