Yesterday, I decided to go check this market out. I was planning on my first attempt at one of my favorite things: pork bulgogi. Although I had most of the ingredients for the marinade, I wanted to make some soybean and chili paste as a condiment and did not have those things. First of all, the store is well-organized, well-stocked and the staff are very friendly. I do not speak or read Korean but the store shops very intuitively and I was able to find the things I needed quickly and easily. The absolute icing on the cake for me was that I found some pre-marinated pork bulgogi in the meat section and (after confirming with a store clerk that it was what I thought it was), I grabbed it. Whoa, baby, am I glad I did. I grilled it up that night and it was a huge hit with my family. There is no shame in my cooking game and I am not so dull as to think that I'm going to smash a grand-slam on a scratch-made first attempt. This pre-marinated pork was delicious and I'll be back for more of it and to continue to sample new and interesting Korean foods. I like this store a lot. [Second photo below depicts the pastes I bought, some excellent Kimchi that Jen found and an...

I love love love this store! The selection for its size is incredible, and I could not believe the prices. They had bulk individually packaged nori sheets for sale at a better price than I can get at Costco. There was a charming selection of dishware, insulated lunch boxes and cook ware. The produce, while limited, was of excellent quality--remarkably fresh. They had "house" kimchi (I bought a huge jar!) and many many side dishes as well, made from scratch. Very impressive. I will be back again and again. Funny, I only checked it out because I didn't want to drive all the way to M.T. Market up North (a favourite of mine) and I found many things here that were unavailable at the larger market, or...

I've been living in Austin since 2011. I probably started shopping at Han Yang in 2011/2012. The two cashiers/managers have been there this entire time and they're always polite and nice.

The store selection has slowly gotten better over the years. And with the opening of hmart in the last few years, they've done a good job of staying competitive, I think. This is a great neighborhood Korean market and if you're the kind of shopper who just wants to shop quickly, like get in and get out, this is the right place for you.

The neighborhood is fine. I saw a review saying this market isn't in the best part of town and idk what they mean by that lol I live down the street and it's...

I love this place soooo much! Their kimchi is one of our must-have in our fridge all the time. I think most of the items are the cheapest here too. They are specialized in east Asian (especially Korean and Japanese) items. If you are looking for east Asian food, I highly recommend here. Their homemade food is very very great! So so tasty๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹ I'm Japanese so I feel really comfortable every time I go there. :) SO GLAD Austin has them!!

Tucked away off the beaten path this market has more than you could ever think of wanting - they sell items in a little smaller containers when compared to other markets which is nice when you want to try something out for the first time without committing to a big jug
