Ivester Contemporary — Attraction in Austin

As a lover of contemporary art, I was excited to check out the Ivester gallery. I stopped by to view the “Cuidate” exhibition and was pretty disappointed considering this is considered a premier gallery in Austin. It had the feeling of walking into a yard sale of art sourced from rubbage. The “art” was crass, unfocused, degenerative, and simply curated in poor taste. Probably the coolest contemporary gallery in Austin. Diverse styles and artists are constantly cycling their exhibits. I also see Ivester constantly taking a chance on many emerging BIPOC artists.
