Definitely one of the best brunch/lunch places ever. I wanted to wait to review until after I tried everything... but I'll just update as I go because there's so many things to try + I keep wanting to get the same things that I loved! 😅 Best pancakes in Austin. Best I've had in my entire life actually. I've had Paperboy once to-go and maybe I need to retry them, but these beat them, and any other place I've tried. I am scared for myself for when they become a more regular thing because I will be getting them too often...😆 Chicken and beignets are also amazing. Some of the best chicken I've had in Austin. Extremely flavorful even without honey. Korean style is my favorite style of fried chicken too. I don't get it with the hot honey because I'm spice sensitive but my boyfriend loved the hot miso honey. The cornbread is also the best cornbread I've ever had. Not sure if a non-spicy barbacoa could be a possibility one day but my boyfriend loved the spicy barbacoa it came with. He said it's the best he's ever had (he also doesn't usually like barbacoa because it's often super greasy but this was not at all – perfect). The chicken sammich is also the best chicken sandwich I've had in my life. Korean fried chicken with Asian pear slaw is just top tier. Also the customer service is so genuine and great. Chef really cares about his craft and customers/regulars. He always makes me feel welcomed, appreciated, and not judged for my pickiness! 😆 With all of that said, this place is still very new and working through some kinks so it's important to have empathy and patience for small businesses. There was only one time I had to wait a bit long but it was still so worth it! Anyways, I love this place and the good vibes. I'm happy to support such a caring, creative, and...
Read moreThe name caught my eye immediately as I was looking around the food trucks at the Webberville food truck park. It's a simple, yet ingenious, way to immediately communicate what you are getting yourself into ordering from their menu. The menu itself is short, but well designed to deliver on their name's promise.
I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Kimchi Pork Belly fried rice and, as well as a side of fries.
The food itself was excellent while also being a great mashup of soul food and Korean dishes. The fries were almost chip-like and paired with a spicy mayo. Not only was there flavor, but the presentation was well done.
Overall- excellent menu that delivers on what it sets out to accomplish. Do yourself a favor and order something from here.
I will be going back to try to catch the chicken karaage and beignets before they are sold out.
On top of this, the vibes in the food truck park are great. It almost feels like a neighborhood picnic or family picnic. Stop with a group of friends who all want something different and everyone...
Read moreNewly by the climbing gym in east austin! It use to be by the desnudo in east but moved to serve new breakfast options! Tried the hamburger which was like a smash burger great freshness from the added cucumber and the patty was perfectly seasoned. The chicken sandwich was genuinely one of the best I've ever had, great take on sweet, fresh, and savory. Kimchi fries also were good nice vinegar flavor and snap from the kimchi balanced the aiolis fattiness. Overall comfort food that doesn't feel greasy and fatty. The owner was also very kind and very helpful. Definitely a new favorite to...
