Labcorp — Attraction in Austin

I had booked an appointment online to come in and do a fasting blood draw. My appointment was at 0915, but you could do a walk in if you needed to. I walk in and the waiting room is full. The "kiosks" are both down and I can not check in via my phone until 0845. I stand in line, had the lady my paperwork. Apparently, there are only two people working this place. The lady working the front desk is also doing blood draws. There was another lady doing urine samples. They needed at least one more person working. Patients were moving, but could have been a tad bit more efficient. The lady doing my blood draw was a little rough with me. I am a former Plasma donor and she went through my scars, which is painful. She took the 3 vitals of blood and sent me on my way.

This place is a tad bit better than some of the other locations which are either "temporarily" closed, or have one person working while the girl was supposed to be...

I don't write reviews often but I think a lot but I had an exceptional experience that were totally different from the reviews/rating.

Booking appointment was super easy, I checked in with two taps of a button from my car 20 minutes early for my appointment and was seen immediately.

Had 6 viles of blood drawn and the whole process was done in what felt like 30 seconds and I didn't even feel the needle. Great conversation while it was happening. I normally hate having my blood drawn and honestly couldn't even tell it was/did happen.

I have complicated self-pay reimbursement type insurance and was helped to get all the documentation I needed.

Super easy experience thanks to Thomas, the phlebotomist on staff here. I went right at 1p when they re-open after lunch and was 3rd in line. I waited for less than 10 minutes. I was immediately put at ease when I heard how kind and supportive he was to the patient before me. He was the only one working and he handled that gracefully. My blood draw itself was painless, and Thomas had attention to detail - noticed it was my birthday recently and distracted me from the blood draw with questions about my celebration.
