Capitol City Baptist Church — Attraction in Austin

I attended this church on and off for a bit in my time in Austin, they definitely have a religious spirit and controlling spirit. The church of skirts. They at the time we’re going door to door in my complex inviting people to church, that’s how I met my best friend. It’s horrible what they did to her. They shipped her to Missouri to work in an orphanage, and left her there. They come off friendly but once your entangled in it becomes an occult, a religious one at that. When she finally came back from Missouri they told her she wasn’t wanted in their church. It’s sad cause they know the word of God but fail to show the love of God. What about the fruits of the spirit. They don’t believe in Acts 2 with the baptism of the Holy Spirit they don’t believe women can preach. The biggest thing we can do is pray for the leaders in this church that the blinders come off. That there will be a reverence for the Holy Spirit. A heart to really reach the lost. It’s through Father God’s grace through Jesus Christ that leads a person to repentance. Let’s not divide the body of Christ but pray for...

A few members of the church are rude and not respectful of my privacy or personal boundaries due to the fact that they continue to leave their church brochures on my front door (at my place of residence) after I ask them to stop, and I have a "No Soliciting" sign posted - as this is considered harassment. Therefore, the apartment Manager have advised the Residents to report all solicitors to the local police - as needed.

I first went to this church in 2011, and my first service I cried and new I was where I needed to be. My husband and I searched for a church for many years. And we finally found Capital City Baptist church. They Preach the Word of God, and their music services are traditional. But the main thing is the pastor and people where a blessing and still are. Even tho we are in Montana now. Pastor Thompson is someone we can for counsel and leadership. And we still have friendships in that church that will last forever. Love you CCBC stay strong and...
