Blazer Tag Adventure Center — Attraction in Austin

I’ve been coming here since I was very little, probably as far back as as 2 years old, so 18 years. Over the years, I’ve seen this tag game evolve and grow and it never seems to surprise me. I go for Blazer Tag and the thrill it brings ~ An excellent family activity with more than enough room to play in. Their sky bridge, I haven’t been interested in or tried as I’m a bit too old for, at this point. I’ve seen games disappear and not so many come back. Perhaps some arcade game trading? More pinball machines? The updated version of Hydro Thunder? Gauntlet (as there used to be, 10+ years ago). Maintenance on Pac-Man, as the lever sticks upwards. Basic maintenance on seat adjustments for the racing games, as half are loose and do not match anymore. The rock wall being removed was probably the biggest letdown, over the years. Understandable with regulations, not so much understandable not ever replacing with something new (Sky lines are a bit too boring, sorry). Kids will be kids, but I’d love to bring groups of people but I only see it running down, slowly.

Something I wish for is some continued Arena growth and planning, as well as lighter packs (children aren’t able to play as well, believe me, I remember. They have since updated their packs since then, of course). The packs being heavy adds a fun sense of armor but if the straps were updated, I’m sure I’d have more fun. Clip on adjustable belt straps, maybe? Hydro Thunder needs to be paired (it hasn’t been for a couple years now, please Somebody preform maintenance of these). Some updated arcade games could be of use as these new arcades have been coming out. Hopeful for continued growth and development, as well as improved...

The place is great except for customer service. The manager who's name is: Martin. He had a lot of attitude and was obviously tired from a long day. Nevertheless it doesn't give him the right to treat customers the way he did. I bring a group of 40 young people, he is upset at the moment we walk in... of course its more work! All I have to say if the general manager or owner is reading this, PLEASE do NOT put him to work at the front desk! Anyways, when I was playing the battery of my laser gun dies completely (this happened 4 times during the same game). I went afterwards to tell him what happened and how my time got wasted by going down an having to replace my gun, etc. He calls the guy to confirm, the guy confirms it was true. Then he looks at me and says with attitude: "So what do you want?" I said i wanted to inform you of the problem. Then he says: "Ok got it" Then proceeds to explain that because its a busy night, that happens. Its not supposed to happen. Thats why im paying to play a full game... He didn't say sorry on behalf the company, he didn't say let me give you another game for this one were you couldn't play the full time... nothing. I talked to the other manager and he was way nicer... at least he apologized on behalf of the company. I won't go back again and even less take a group until Martin is put in another position where he is not handling the...

Upon first impressions the place seems fine. However, half of the arcade games and 2 of the 4 ticket machines weren't working, and the food was horrible. During the first of 2 games of laser tag I played, I could not hear the instructions because there were about 20 children talking over the video, and the staff did nothing. Also, when my receipt says the game starts at 2:20, I expect to be playing laser tag around 2:20. Instead I got in there at around 2:17, and had to wait another 10 or so minutes for the last game to finish. When I actually got into the game, my gun shut off after about 5 minutes, while my vest was still active meaning I got shot about 20 times while trying to find help. When I finally got to the place where I was supposed to receive help, there was no one there. Not knowing what else to do, I fiddled around with my gun, until it started working again. My gun turned off 6 more times before my vest shut off as well. When I got out of the game, I told the staff what happened and they did nothing, and said I should've tried to find help, which I did. The second game, my expectations were exceptionally lower. I got in there, my gun stopped working a couple of times until my vest shut off, until I got fed up...
