We had our wedding reception on one of the Lake Austin Riverboats (The Commodore) in March, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The entire vibe of celebrating on the water made our day feel so unique and special. The onboard staff were amazing — they worked the bar all evening, keeping the lines short and the drinks flowing, and they were incredibly attentive to our guests' needs. From checking in on us throughout the night to keeping the buffet clean and well-stocked, they really went above and beyond to ensure everyone was safe, happy, and having a great time.
Throughout the planning process, we worked with Brandon, and he was absolutely fantastic. His communication was quick, clear, and helpful every step of the way. Any question we had, big or small, he was right there with an answer and a solution.
If you're looking for a unique venue with great service and beautiful Austin views, we can't recommend Lake Austin Riverboats enough. It was a five-star experience from start to finish, and we’re so grateful it was part of...
Read moreWe rented the Lake Austin Riverboats Commodore for a Drill Team of 80 girls. The staff allowed a few girls to board early to decorate and set up for the night's festivities. When the rest of the girls boarded the boat they were thrilled with the big paddle in the back of the boat, the beautiful mansions, and the magnificent background for numerous selfies. We had Ruby's cater our meal and the food was good, but with 80 girls and small appetites there was almost enough left as there was eaten. The staff took the left overs to a local homeless shelter. The sunset was spectacular and the girls danced the night away to a DJ on the lower deck. I can't say enough about how helpful and accommodating the staff were. Working with Lake Austin Riverboats was seamless from my 1st contact with Scout to the last "good bye" from the staff as we all disembarked the lovely Commodore. I highly recommend this venue and wish I had another event in Austin so we could...
Read moreWe rented the Commodore's Pup for the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding in October, and it was the perfect setting: beautiful, and an oasis of calm during a frenzied week leading up to the wedding. Scout and the whole crew were completely helpful and accomodating as we set it up from far away (Boston), and gave us options that lowered the cost, but kept the food and drink superb. (We had Ruby's cater it, and chose the menu from their restaurant.) The cruise itself began just before sunset, and the staff made sure that everyone, including some very infirm people, were on board and settled before casting off. The trip is smooth and slow, soothing and beautiful. As the sun set we passed mansions on the hillside, and as it turned dark the mansions were lit up and wonderful to see.
The staff served the food at the right time and kept it hot, and the bar was fast and easy to get to.
I cannot recommend this riverboat and the people who run it...
