I have been working with Longhorn Lawns for three years and I could not recommend them more highly. Above all they are honest, trustworthy, talented and strive to ensure that their customers are happy with their work. Any time that I have had a question or critique they always ensure that my satisfaction is their top priority. In addition to maintaining our yard and sprinkler system, they have also done a number of landscape projects at our home. Before we owned the house the former residents let the yard grow out of control and our neighbors/HOA were not happy when we moved in. Thanks to the crew at Longhorn Lawns, we now notice our neighbors frequently stopping on the street to look at our yard and even taking pictures of the plants and flowers. We are so appreciative of their time and expertise! Special thanks to: Heath for leading an excellent team and for always making it a point to drop by the house for frequent quality checks or anytime I had a question or concern. Kara for her landscape design expertise as well as her vast knowledge of native plants. Our yard has been dramatically improved thanks to her vision. Virginia & Julie for answering emails and calls quickly, efficiently and with kindness. Juan & Eloy for continuing to improve the coverage and efficiency of our sprinkler system. They come out to the house quarterly to ensure that everything is running optimally and do not stop working until everything is in tip top shape. To be more specific, these guys do not cut corners and have helped me reduce water usage in the yard which has ultimately saved me water...
Read moreAfter we paid for a poorly installed backyard flagstone patio in January, I wanted a dependable company to undo and redo our hoped-for landscape project. The original patio was poorly laid over a mound of crushed granite that was not evenly distributed across the area before laying the rocks. There was no pattern to the patio, which had a huge center hump, and the area was a disappointing reminder of the money we spent.
Luckily I called Longhorn Lawns, because the end result is a lovely back yard we can enjoy with a patio we can safely use without fear of falling. Matt was out for the estimate just a few days after my call. He quickly understood our goal and within a week his crew was tackling our patio.
The Longhorn Lawn crew worked seamlessly as a team and although 3 people were involved, they were all on the same page in tearing out and reconstructing a flagstone patio that was perfectly flat and blended well with our existing flagstone walk. It was a joy to watch their careful work methods.
Additionally, Matt's crew re-mulched areas surround the patio, and in our front yard. Our yard now has a blue-ribbon look that truly makes us happy. Longhorn Lawns was extremely reasonably-priced for our project.
We had a perfect experience with Longhorn Lawns from the moment I sent them an email. The company contacted me that day, and within 2 weeks, we had our new patio. This is a competent company I...
Read moreMy experience with Longhorn Lawns was NOT good, to say the least.
All I wanted to know is what was included in the price quoted to me. If you tell me you’re going to charge me $20K to $40K to landscape my yard, then you need to tell me what I will get for that and what I will have to pay for separately. If all your estimate includes is labor and your fee, then all other supplies, stones, plants, hardware, parts and materials are separate charges, then be honest and say so.
I’m not going to pay you $500 for a non-refundable landscaping plan only to find out that what you led me to believe would cost $20K to $40K will actually cost me upwards of $75k.
If you can’t give me an honest answer to a simple question then you are disreputable.
This business model is a disgrace, and these smoke and mirror tactics to force a customer into a commitment are disingenuous, manipulative and just plain CROOKED!
I do not recommend Kara or Longhorn Lawns to anyone who seeks integrity or honesty up front in what you will actually pay to get your landscaping done.
Buyer beware...
