It's probably the best card store in Austin. Been to quite a few and none come close to the community in that store. When it comes to staff, events, stock, and just overall vibes it's top of the game. Everyone on staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very welcoming to newcomers. Most stores especially some that have events for some niche card games can be intimidating and gatekeepey; this store embraces newcomers and welcomes them with open arms. They have events every day ranging from league play for Pokémon, One Piece, and Magic for hardcore players to newcomer events where they have coaches who teach you to play and try and find a deck for you. They even have events for some niche games like Lorcana and Union Arena. I don’t know how they manage it, but they always have stock of everything. If it just came out they have it and they even carry some vintage Pokémon. If you are new to card games or a returning player this is the place to be. 5/5 if I could leave 10/10 I would. Went in to buy some temporary stuff for a deck. They had basically no deck boxes, either you got a flimsy one for 5 box or a 3D printed one for 50-60 bucks. I didn’t have a big issue out of that, but when I tried to check out several times, the guy ignored me and was sleeving some bulk magic cards. I even tried to ask about the really sick dnd books, but again, I was ignored. The only time I got his attention was asking about the PSA 10 pokemon card in the case. Btw there was NO price tag on it, but everything else did have one. When I asked the priced, he got on his phone, pulled up eBay (I think) and told me 210. I bought it, but I don’t feel very confident when there’s no price tag on it and he could’ve made up any price. I’m just sudsed out. There wasn’t a lot of selection, bits of things here and there, and I definitely didn’t...

They also run events for all the big games, and the vibe is always friendly and welcoming. The staff and regulars are super helpful, especially with new players who are just learning.

The staff really know their stuff, and the owner is often around, making sure they stock lots of variety and hard-to-find cards while offering good deals.
