Read moreI’ve been going to MAD for the past three months and love it. I started coming after losing a significant amount of weight over the past few years but feeling like I was not as strong as I used to be and wanting to make sure I was losing fat, not muscle. I get monthly DEXA scans and in 12 weeks at MAD I am up a pound of lean tissue and down 12 pounds of fat. I also feel much stronger and more physically capable and empowered.
The instructors and vibe at MAD are amazing. I was really intimidated to try the workout because everyone I saw on their social media looked like they had been working out their whole lives. But in reality, it’s a diverse crowd with varied fitness levels and everyone in their own lane during the workout. I am still on the very low end of fitness levels but the instructors are great at coming up with modifications so that I make consistent improvement and I never feel left out of the workout. The instructors are world class – consistently better than I’ve met at other gyms or personal training. They think through the workouts and really invest in the clients.
If I had to offer one feedback or complaint, it is that, although the workout has a great warmup, there isn’t a clear cooldown after the work is over. It would be good to have a two-minute optional cool down or know the right stretches to recover best or what recovery we should incorporate into...
