For the love of God, if you have a dog that it reactive while o n leash, PLEASE do not bring your dog to the off leash dog trail. If you want your dog to have any success in building confidence and better leash behavior, it should be on the LEASHED trails. Taking a Leashed reactive dog to the part of the park that’s full of off leash dogs is asking for dog fights, people fights, and your dog to be further traumatized. Dogs will run up to greet your dog. It doesn’t matter how good a dog’s recall is, this trail is winding with low visibility and it’s unfair for all parties involved. I rewrote my entire review because I’ve been coming here for years but it’s happening more and more. Mary Moore is hundreds of acres, if you need to work on leash reactivity, go to the leashed part of the park and practice while other dogs are leashed as well as to protect everyone. Of course, someone who doesn’t follow step one of a Google search on things you shouldn’t do if your dog is leash reactive (“Don't Go to the Problem Area and Challenge your Dog”) won’t see this Google review either so. Shrug.

My dogs LOVE this park. Great place for them to run. My favorite things: 1. It is fenced in. Though there are a number fence gaps to be aware of if you have a dog that's constantly testing a perimeter. 2. There are multiple water crossings for them to cool off in. This a must for my dogs when the temperature starts to climb. Though I definitely hose them off before they can come back in the house. 3. Trash cans to disposed of waste are stationed at multiple points along the trail. 4. Off leash!! Be aware that there is poison ivy when that's in season. And its a cedar forrest, which can pose its own problems for those with an allergy.

Love this off-leash park! It is about 5 minutes away from my house and I've been trying to take my pup once a day, for the last couple of months. She loves making new friends and everyone has been super friendly in the years I've been coming. There are a couple of holes in the fence, so beware if your pup likes to take off. There are part with some standing water where the adventurous pups can cool off. I wouldn't recommend coming here after dark as it is super dark. The only thing I hate about it is that they don't pick up the trash enough. I wish they would empty out the cans more often!

The perfect environment to train off-leash skills close to home! The fence encloses a 39 acre area, though there are no wide-open clearings. As others have mentioned, it's not well maintained - some bridges were broken, trash cans needed emptying, and fencing needed mending in some spots. Where the bridges were broken, I could easily hop over. That being said, I wanted an off-leash trail with well-mannered dogs that was removed from roads and that I could corral my 6-month-old Aussie in. I would say I got exactly what I was looking for. My pup could care less about the state of things as he had a blast running free with many positive social interactions along the way! I would be interested in volunteering to clean...

Writing this to warn people of the recent coyote activity we've experienced. We bring our dog to the trail every Sunday. About a month ago we encountered coyotes for the first time (in five years). Our dog got a puncture wound from that altercation and I saw two coyotes run off.

Today we didn't see the coyotes but we talked with a couple who had just encountered them and sure enough at the end of our loop we heard our dog barking and eventually he came running back to us with his tail tucked and had two puncture wounds on his back leg.

We love this off-leash trail but wanted to warn others of the coyote presence, especially if you have smaller dogs or dogs who like to...
