This may be the last Fudds left in Austin. Tacked on to the side of a Luby's like an afterthought, it's small and narrow with the register in the middle and condiment station shoved in a back corner. This means you have to maneuver people waiting to order or pick up orders along with almost every table in the house, to get mustard. Many condiments are behind the grill in half filled, premade cups you have to interrupt busy staff to request. I don't know if this is a pandemic thing or permanent. The food is good... it's just a hassle to dress it up the way you want to without feeling like you're putting everyone out. I might ad that cleanliness is also an issue here, which was surprising. Half the tables are blocked for service to facilitate social distancing but there was literally no one cleaning a single table the entire time we were there. So, the few "available" tables were littered with other people's leavings you had to bus yourself. My roommate finally went to the car to get cleaner and wiped down a booth, including seats, so we could sit and eat. The only other alternative was to sit outside (those tables didn't look like they had seen a washcloth all day either) or, take our food to go. We live a good 30 miles from this location so everything would have been cold by the time we got it home. On the plus side, the woman at the register was friendly and...
Read moreMy family was excited to eat at a Fuddruckers because they have closed down the locations in Southern California. The man working at the cash register was unfriendly and when I asked about egg-free sides for my daughter (who has an egg allergy) he was entirely unhelpful. He said he didn't know. I asked if he could find out. He said he could only get the manager. I asked for him to do so. The manger was a blonde woman who was also incredibly rude and unhelpful. I explained I just wanted to confirm which food was allergy free for my daughter. She said she didn't know and that everything is online. I asked if they didn't have the ingredients lists for the food they serve. She got me a nutrition fact sheet with no allergy information what so ever on it. There was a line cook who was very considerate and checked the ingredients on the bags of dough they use for the buns. I ended up just giving her a plain meat patty. I was appalled at the lack of care for their customers safety with simple questions about allergens. The food was whatever. Not worth the money. There was only a single employee in the restaurant who was kind. I would recommend never going to this location and I will never eat at a...

Despite battling heavy rain and tough traffic, my wife and I made our way to Fuddruckers—her absolute favorite burger joint. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by Troy, the counter person, who was not only friendly but also had an awesome sense of humor. As my wife stepped up to order, he jokingly told her, “Sorry, we’re closed—it’s raining.” The look on her face was priceless!
She ordered the 1lb burger with extra cheese, and I went for the mushroom Swiss burger. Let me tell you, the food did not disappoint! Both burgers were cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and exactly what we needed after the rainy trek.
The atmosphere in this place was just as great as the food. Tera, the manager, runs an outstanding shop, ensuring top-tier service and quality. If you're looking for delicious burgers and a welcoming team, Fuddruckers in Austin is the spot! I highly recommend it.
Let me know if you want any further tweaks! It’s a solid...
