
We had an unfortunate situation going on with the costumer service of the LA fitness North Miami location in Florida . Me and my sister both are LA fitness members since we moved to Florida 2 years ago(before that we were loyal costumers in CT as well). We both had the unfortunate to get very ill and become sick in the current situation of the world, my sister called and asked to cancel her membership by the phone and the lady on the phone understand her situation that she is unable to come to the gym personally and cancel , she helped her out and cancelled by phone without any problems . The next day I have called and asked to cancel my membership as well since I am sick and can’t come to the gym, thinking they will be helpful and understanding as before , they refused to do that, being very rude, didn’t want to understand my situation , got me in to a very uncomfortable situation and panic attack (I have problems with breathing , it’s one of the symptoms of my illness). We have try to talk to the manager (his name as I recall was John), he refused to help and said that I have to come or do it via sending a mail to the main office. I understand the policy but there are exceptions, specially when a person is sick and have to stay home quarantined for the moment. Non of the ppl at the La fitness costumer service helped us, just kept sending us back forward to different managers that promised to call back but never did. Read moreThis LA Fitness blows. Let’s get this straight, this gym is old and I’m not just talking about the building itself, most LA Fitness gyms I’ve been to have been modernized, but here? Everything is clearly circa 1992. The steel lockers that are rusted and falling apart, the heavily, calcified, and corroded water fixtures, the crumbling and rotting shower stalls and quite a few pieces equipment are older than most of the staff working there.
When it comes to the staff, I gotta bone to pick with Water Aerobics instructor who despite only getting 10 or so people for her class, feels the need to close off the entire pool area including the hot tub. I seriously doubt my sitting in a tub of hot water is going to disturb the class, especially when they’re facing away from me. Was I belligerent, yes. But to count down like a parent talking down to a child is insulting. Don’t say that it’s company policy because every other LA Fitness I’ve been to and I’ve been to around 20 during my five years with this gym franchise let’s you use the other pool facilities. The pool is really the only reason why most people would chose LA Fitness over its competition and to close it off completely is very short sighted.
Speaking of things as irritating as sandpaper socks, why does LA Fitness need to play commercials for LA Fitness in LA Fitness? You already got my money, do you really need to interrupt my workout with advertisements louder than the music and with the frequency of Marxist propaganda? Seriously, I can’t even enjoy a calming workout.

Read moreI recently had a terrible experience with the LA Fitness gym. The management completely unethical even towards their own customers. I left my truck in the plaza parking lot to quickly take care of an emergency for with a friend, only to return to find that my truck had been towed.
The sign at the entrance only says no overnight parking, but my truck was towed in less than an hour and they never contacted me although I left a big note with my phone number.
When I contacted the towing company, the driver informed me that the management of the plaza and the gym is notorious for ordering cars to be towed for no reason at all. He told me that he suggested the manager to call me first but they insisted on towing it. Apparently, they simply do not want large trucks in their lot, and they will use any excuse possible to have cars towed, even their own customers’.
This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and immoral. Not only did it cost me a significant amount of money to retrieve my car from the impound lot, but it also caused me a great deal of stress and frustration. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this gym to think twice before doing so. The management clearly has no respect for their customers or the community, and they will go to any lengths to feed their ego.
Just stay away from this location, the gym itself is so old and everything is just soaked in sweat and wasn’t properly ventilated or maintained in what feels...
