UH Avon Health Center — Attraction in Avon

Wow! Haven't received care like this in years. It felt good to be treated like humans by staff with patience, empathy, excellent overall good bedside manners. Dr. Russell is a excellent, personable, ER Doctor as well as the rest of the staff....and I need to mention it was an ALL MALE staff except for the two ladies working in x-ray (they were nice and professional also) My son ended up being diagnosed with the flu and strep throat. His Male nurse (I think his name was Jeremy) was EXCELLENT! Very professional and patient when my son was terrified to get the throat culture done. Was here about 5 years ago with one of my kids and had a horrible experience with a nurse who was crabby, overweight, no bedside manner, suffering from alopecia,....just a miserable wicked witch who shouldn't be working in healthcare at all. I should have wrote up a complaint on her. I'm going to start writing names down so I don't forget.....but anyway! Great ER care. I will recommend to...

Went for heart CT. Prior to making appointment I asked about any funds needing to be paid and was told if any they would bill me. Drove a hour to the appointment, walked into an office that was freezing and had space heaters scattered around, office smelled horrible and was very dirty. As check in started they informed me I needed to pay them 900.00! I was in shock and asked what for. They stated I have a 1000.00 deductible. I informed them that I’ve already met that by at least half and I would not be paying them 900.00 or anything until it was submitted to insurance. The young man stepped away to try and figure it all out and a woman scolded him and stated that wasn’t his job and to just let it go and let me leave. I left crying since this was a very much needed test. I called my insurance company who also stated I was at the half way mark for my deductible and there is no way I would owe the 900.00 and definitely not to pay...

I recently visited the UH Avon Health Center for my annual blood work, and I was impressed. The facility is exceptionally clean, and the waiting area has been expanded.

Compared to other University Hospitals locations, this laboratory stands out as the best. Plus, it’s a bonus that they also have a fitness center on-site! Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality healthcare. 👍

For fitness enthusiasts, the health and fitness center at UH Avon is excellent. They have a heated therapy pool, lap pool, and well-maintained facilities. Trained therapists and exercise instructors are available, along with amenities like steam, sauna,...
